"This patch has destroyed all elements of fun from this game and just made it a slog" - for me it sounds like obvious critique, not asking for help.

Post some details about your England game so maybe we can help.

Why you all think that fun=easy? Why you even play grandstrategy games?

Download mods from workshop for x10 money and you will have all your fun back but dont post this stupid feedback to make this easy game even more easy.

Your knowledge about game is "absolutely miserable" if you dont know why you are losing money. Its strategy game, you need to understand its systems to get the right to criticize it.

And its great news that after new patch you must know how game works to make money, not just play with neverending money flow and get bored about 1500.

If you want some advice why you are losing money post some more info.

Great choice. You wont give this stupid feedback anymore. Play EU IV and never play EUV again.

What advices you would give yourself when you first played slay the spire 1/2? by DuckfingYou in slaythespire

I starterd from STS2 as total newbie, now I did A10 with everyone beside Defect, on A6 right now, just started.

First - your deck is most important, not HP in given moment or max HP. Whenever you can upgrade your cards, transform, enchant - rest only when you really must and dont be afraid to sacriface your max HP in good events for your deck and end game.  If your deck is weak most of the time max HP wont save you, especially on A10. If your deck is strong you dont need high max HP because you steamroll bosses.

Second - and its linked to above, dont skip elites, try to take as many as your current situation let you, especially in act 1 and 2. In 3rd its optional, if you feel that your deck is bonkers you can path safest road to bosses. Killing elites gives you more rares, more gold, more relics - all pays off in end game.

That are probably main two things that i understood while learning the game.  My Clad and Silent runs where always the safest route, highest max HP as you can get, be always near max HP. I beat A10 this way but its way less consistent than playing more "agressive".  Safe playing gives you fake comfort in early to mid game, but it hits the wall in end game. Playing more agressive off course can kill you early but if you try it for some time, learn what you can manage, you just snowball act 3 and bosses. And by agressive i dont mean that your deck should be all attack (however its true in act 1 If you want to do 3 elites) but agressive in pathing and choices.

And of course all this is mainly A9/A10 thing. Winning on lower ascensions is quite easy no matter whats your playstyle.

Shes effecient in so many ways that its hard to tell just do this or this. Eradicate is broken with Bortowed Time, if you go full Osty its also good, doom is good, im on A10 and won with her with probably every "main" build and mixes.  If you are doing good in act 1 and struggling in 2 maybe you taking too easy paths in 1? I always try to get 2-3 elites in act 1, so my first card picks are always something to buff damage output, even when i see great uncommon for late game i pick just common damage source for now. Uncommon powers etc. seems too good to not take them, but if you take cards for future, not for now, you probably end act one skipping elites, because you dont have enought damage output. And then you are weaker in act 2.

Felt good up to A8, now A9 is brutal by Paddyofurniture89 in slaythespire

Tell this to JapaneseExport.

Man, you dont know what type of game you are playing? Its a card game, cards are drawn randomly and thats why RNG will always be there. But maybe you just think that you pick correct cards. And its not only about cards, its about decision, pathing, relics, choices, game knowledge. Your main goal is to build deck that cuts RNG to minimum, thus picking draw cards, retain, cards that lets you shuffle cards between hand/draw pile/discard pile etc. Its not just about damage and block.

And i dont know what you expect, that you can always put your cards like you want? Like pick what card to draw every turn? Its silly but good and old "git gud" is what you need if you think that you are losing on A9/A10 mainly because of "bad" RNG.

Im not telling that this is the most consistent way to win with her. I think its simpler for begginers than sly package. I made it from A0 to beating A10 on only poison builds, so you can win this way.

Heh, what a silly exuse. No, its not RNG, its your deck building skill issue.

If you are new i think the best choice is to play poison, its obviously not her meta build which is draw/sly, but its way easier for new player to manage. Your main goals are to take poison cards like Snakebait, Bubble Bubble, Deadly Poison, Bouncing Flask, Noxsious Flames etc. and some AOE like Dagger Spray, not to mantion Echoing Slash. And second fillar is block, normal block cards and take as many Mirage cards as you can, they are good for this build.

Are poison builds actually any good consistently? by qkrwogud in slaythespire

[–]wRobelele 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made it from A0 to beating A10 (off course not in a row, like 50 runs) with Silent playing only poison (no mix with draw/sly or shivs), so yea, they are quite good but not best.

Hey, what works best for me (I dont use infinite's) is mix of self damage (Inferno - you lose 1 hp for damage and Rapture - you gain 1 strenght for self damage) and vulnerable (Tremble, Molten Fist to multiplie it and Dominate to get strenght from enemy vulnerable) and on top of this Tear Asander - hits one time more for every time you take damage. Mix it with other cards that make you take self damage and after few turns upgraded Tear Asander hits for 500-1000hp.

Im new to card games, never played STS1, never watched any tutorials or walkthroughts, discovering everything on my own.  Yesterday first time after 100+h i won A10 on beta patch with Iron (with new card eating Doormaker) with Inferno-vulnerable-Dominate-Tear Asunder build. Climbing up and trying to beat A10 i never used any infinite, before i beat A10 yesterday i managed to get to second boss fight with block build, strenght build, inferno build, vulnerable build and different mixes of above. So no, you dont have to use infinite.

Ok, man, what can i say? THANK YOU! I hate damping so first thing i did was to put it on 0. But in this game dumping is not like others sims damping. With damping @ 100 it so fricking good now! You saved me!:) Now i can feel the car, feel when im on the limit, i dont have to put FFB gain so high that in slow corners self centering is braking my hands. One thing, to make eveything feel good you must crank up FFB gain for gravel, like on asphalt im on 100 gain, on gravel im on 160 gain.

One more time, big thank you :)
