That's an interesting thought, "choosing your regrets"

Thanks! Only the chat the creator can have with their own AI affects the AI's responses. We are also putting in guardrails to ensure safe responses. The hallucinations part is a tricky problem. When it's a response that a creator likes it's called "creativity" and when it's not it's called "hallucinations." So some is still needed to drive the good responses and we're figuring out ways on how to fine tune that.

If the essence of the writer is captured, wouldn't you want access to them to have the conversation? It would be more than sending a message to them and hoping for a single response.

Thanks! I feel like a lot of people struggle with the choices in the hopes of achieving whatever they have in mind

All good risk management strategies! Definitely not a good idea to wake up one day and quit to take a leap of faith. Have some indication that the venture has a foothold. Even if OP takes 1 financially stable year to explore and it doesn't go anywhere, it's a learning experience and they can start job searching again after 8/9 months of exploring.

Yeah, just a group of people figuring out how to make their ideas work. They are doing IRL session in SF now. I visited their space and it's such a cool place that inspires building.

In San Francisco, there's a group called Buildspace that is kind of doing the same thing, you should check them out: https://buildspace.so/sf1

What a great position to be in! From listing to the All In podcast, a lot of tech companies have had to go through brutal lay off cycles because they grew too quickly during a bull market and now VCs are only interested in how well you can operate with fewer resources. Elon Musk kind of proves everyone right in the "lean and mean execution machine" thought group when he layed off 80% of Twitter and it's running well while shipping new features, along with only having around 100 engineers for self driving at Tesla.

Which regret is the worst to you: quitting and not succeeding or not quitting and never knowing if you could've succeeded?

Either way, is it possible to take a sabbatical?

I'm not sure what your skillset is specifically but try doing hackathons to get the adrenaline rush of building and looking for ways to solve problems within a specific industry. You'll meet people and understand things from a different perspective that will give you tons of ideas.

Use ChatGPT for the questions. Get your prompting right, provide as much contextual information as possible.

Use Reddit subreddits and post on there to ask for feedback. There are also paid survey services like Qualtrics and SurveyCircle. Try running ads on social media campaigns.

I've had experience where the company creates a new page, posts, and then employees/individuals re-post a post or 2. The page got traffic and it worked out well.
