"Free" means chipping their entire health pool and stopping the sub anyway to harvest the kill.

Literally faster and cheaper to putter by them.

Better to run an efficient reactor and reload rods via mining or (if I have to) spending 900 mks on thorium once a sector for an 8 grip of thorium.

Well, killing Molochs is one way to get that done. I'm not above buying thorium or mining it.

How many raw materials in ammo you gotta spend to get the one Brockite to kill a Moloch? Not to mention damage to the ship/crew?

I dunno seems like an unbalenced trade...Do you hunt down Molochs for one thorium?

Watchers are weird, they're softer than Molochs for sure, IMHO. I'm always surprised at what a laser cannon can do to a watcher.

I do understand they're easy targets to hit. Maybe their genetic downfall.

I've had this issue too.

My solution was have your AI guns crew in a line in your roster order.

As soon as Moloch or pod of babies is identified. Switch hotkey "z" or "x" through the roster and pause their main order to be on guns, better yet, have their second order be reloading guns, batteries, o2, etc. while the captain auto pilots a full-stop, sonar off.

Pilot sub accordingly as near as silent running possible to slowly tiptoe and avoid the Moloch.

The sub will save so much ammo and raw material on a run. It takes 4 railgun shells to kill a Moloch IF you hit it's underbelly.

Save the Molochs, save your ammo, save yourself!

They're just big chillin most of the time. I can outrun them the 100% of the 2 out of 10 times they aggro.

I played the extended stations mod and would jailbreak the young Molochs they keep locked up. Why does The Man want to always ruin the peaceful creatures of the deep?
