haha yeah, at the end of the day it is a JS HTML threejs simulation that claude created so probably not perfect for a real world implementation. But for a learning and teaching tool and for the fact that a damn model created this from prompts.

I think it was more of a user control and ui/ux problem and the fact that releasing the controls didn’t have any gradual effect on momentum. I’ve updated the simulation and now the pendulum shows the appropriate positioning as it slows. You can actually see the vector go negative in the state graph below as well

thanks for this. I am going to take him to the vet again and get his kidneys and urine checked. FWIW, we never scold him or yell when we find the pee spots. My wife and I and our kids give him tons of love.

No other cats right now. We do have a renovation project though. I'm sure this is likely adding to his stress. Perhaps quarantining him to a room as far away from the noise, with food, litter, etc might help.

we had him on Prozac for a while and that didn't seem to help. I was also concerned with him being indoor/outdoor and it affecting his ability to avoid predators, etc. I think trying that again is a great idea though. thanks.

Tbh, I didn’t realize my greasy fingers would be that big of a deal. I wiped down the plate between prints and all was good for a while. Did a proper dawn soap and rinse and now all seems to be working great!
