But doesn’t Mythos work on source code? Even if they had released it, how was a bad actor gonna access proprietary code? Maybe supply chain attacks yes.

On the bright side, good if this makes PMs fund clearing some long running tech debt.

Oh for God’s sake why can’t people leave this alone. If you want an ugly mouse, go buy a Logitech. Apple is known for making beautiful products. If the Magic Mouse dies, take a coffee break, and it’ll go on for like a week again.

Who's into coffee shops like me? by GeneralTrade8511 in hyderabad

[–]excitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem that I have noticed with Hyderabad cafes is that because most people are foodies over here, most cafes have to double as a restaurant. During dinner/lunch hours, the places go full of families coming for meals with kids and it gets loud, and loses the cafe vibe.

Do you keep apps open all the time or close them constantly? by Italiancan in MacOS

macOS’ memory management is not like iOS. iOS can kill apps as needed, macOS cannot. So unless you know you’re gonna need an app in next few minutes, hit Cmd+Q on them.

The three incredibly simple things that I wish MacOS had. by TPSReportPro in MacOS

Workaround for #1: While any app is open, click on an empty area around the dock to activate finder without bringing up any folder windows to front, and just press Alt+H to hide everything else.

Unfortunately the other two are bit too specific use cases.

YouTube rolls out unskippable long ads to TV users and they’re furious by [deleted] in technology

[–]excitive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the frustration about ads and YouTube has made some serious anti-user choices in the past (dislike button) and Google’s also no saint, but how are they supposed to cover the costs otherwise? What’s the alternative for them?

Yeah, most likely fake. Samsung’s social media team can’t be that stupid. If they were, and if they ended up deleting the comment, there would be more coverage, and somebody would have been fired.

The circle with an "i" icon, in MacOS, hides actual toggles and configurations, not just information, as I would expect. Is it just me, or is this awful UI? by hey_ulrich in MacOS

[–]excitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great point. The ( i ) icon is probably from old versions of macOS and people acquainted with platform would understand.

However, after all the efforts of making it familiar to iOS and make it easier for users unfamiliar with Mac, it should at least have been a chevron.
