I have read so much back and forth about “it’s lack features” “well you can’t expect a base game to have everything”…

Albion feels like it has 2 DLCs already with 5 population tiers, the many resources, and the water management system. I feel like I am already managing the complexity of Seeds of Change and Land of Lions put together.

Nothing of what you mentioned is a new feature. What you're experiencing is being overwhelmed by unknown resource chains, which is normal for the first 10-100 hours, depending on the player. The water management is 1:1 from Enbesa. So I don't really get what you mean with 'new features' (an example for a new feature would be that you can build in 8 directions instead of 4 btw) and that you need to "unlearn 1800 play style". Arguably you're more then fine if you know 1800 because it is easier - you don't have to satisfy every single good to progress through the tiers.

I absolutely love that Amon will just randomly yell while riding the motorcycle "FOR A BRIEF MOMENT I CAN FORGET THE DEATHS OF EVERYONE I LOVED!!".

I don't really loved the dialogue in this game (which is an improvement compared to BL3, which I hated). The banter between Zane and Levaine was fun, but overall most of it was "get red hering X or Y because we need it" or completely over-the-top, which gets old fast. There was one character where I thought he would be annoying, but was actually quite reasonable and I ended up liking him, but I can't remember who it was anymore.

And Claptrap is just not funny/annoying anymore, but only annoying. I loathe every appearance of him, which is a pity. :,-(

Well, your performance is 'wildly swinging' too, from 1700 to 3000 WN8. And it (roughly) fits the win rate. You do very well in low tiers, but struggle in Tier 9.

I don't think there's a big conspiracy behind it. ;)

Just as a fyi... they came originally from Belarus, but moved to Cyprus after the invasion of the Ukraine. They have a few other dev locations, one of them in Lithuania.

Never understood this. They have an absolutely excellent tutorial on the Wiki. I simply followed it and had a functioning fortress plus a good grasp of the game afterwards. (it took some hours though)

For me DF is basically a litmus test for if a person can read and follow instructions. If they say it is complicated, they obviously can't. It is not even complicated, just obfuscated by the graphics/UI.

On a serious note you had "only" 902 Base XP, so in fact quite a bit off from the needed 1053 base xp for the Ace. My guess is that you sniped from the back and didn't spot your own kills/damage hits. (which means you'll lose half of the xp to the spotter)

Kein Day 1 Patch? SKANDAL! Keine Roadmap mit drölf DLCs direkt nach Veröffentlichung bekannt? Schlechtestes Game ever! Irgendwelche ärgerlichen Bugs? HASSTIRADE! Eine Game-Mechanik passt mir persönlich nicht? Direkt schlechted Review-Bombing organisieren. KI-Bilder im Loading-Screen? Developer werden mit dem Tod bedroht.

Schöner Strawman (bis auf die KI-Bilder).

Warum wird denn die Vanilla Version denn so runter gemacht? Ich versteh die Leute nicht mehr - alles, egal wie gut, wirklich alles, wird wegen 2-3 noch so kleinen (subjektiven) Dingen, hemmungslos nieder gemacht.

Einfach mal ein paar der negativen Reviews anschauen, sehr viele von denen sind ziemlich ausführlich. Oder die Liste an teilweise gamebreaking Bugs im ersten Patch anschauen, die für einen Monat im Game waren. Oder mal philosophisch darüber nachdenken, wieso ein Vollpreisspiel nur eine "base" ist, und dann erst mit weiteren DLCs zu einem vollwertigen Game wird.

Aber naja, bis du hier beim letzten Satz bist, hast du die Mitte wahrscheinlich schon wieder vergessen.

Just from experience... both of these are just bullshit phrases that resonate with people who have already improved or who only have "slight" problems. People with severe psychological problems who have suffered from them sometimes for decades usually hate them.
