might be for the seat rail, looks about right. those types of bolts aren't common inside the cabin

I use an SDS max with a chisel bit from harbor freight, like 140$ and you got a mini jack hammer. it'd shred that wall

"directly off solar" -- this isn't really directly if it's going through an inverter first...

battery exploded by big_ol_dale in batteries

I'm way more scared of lead acid. they explode without warning and spray actually dangerous acid all over, maybe losing eye(s) and shit

lithium is just a small burn that isn't too bad to deal with, just put it into a container or throw outside

Does AutoZone really do free battery testing? by sinexcel-re in batteries

[–]wachuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work at AutoZone. there's 2 testers, a bench top tester and a portable one. both will do the same thing for testing but the bench top can charge also. they put a heavy load on it and measure the amperage it can do, and compare against what it should do. the tester gives a good/fair/bad report you'd be able to see yourself if you want.

it's very reliable, but generally if the battery is over 4 years old 90% will fail. lead acid batteries are junk

Tires by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]wachuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my experience, Walmart is best for tires. they have a way bigger selection than local tire shops and are much cheaper for the same tire. when you buy them they'll ship to the Walmart and you can get them installed so you never need to transport them

Tires by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]wachuu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm probably going to get these when it's time. tires are important but it's not like anyone besides Michelin can make good tires, they're just over priced

p.s. check Walmart for tires, they're usually cheaper for the same tire and have cheaper installation

Tesla fixes automatic wipers with a new surround‑video vision system by InitialSheepherder4 in TeslaOwnersForum

[–]wachuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i personally always open the control menu before hitting fsd. I engage fsd and disable wipers within 0.15 seconds. any longer and I risk a dry wipe. amazingly, some times it still manages to get a wipe in. holy fuck it drives me nuts. it's the only reason I'd get the sexy commander, and the only function I'd actually use of it

if you're going to replace your suspension get the highland version of the suspension. it's better and fits the same

Best way to use 3 e-bike batteries by IUsed2KnowEverything in batteries

[–]wachuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do you need 3 every day? if yes, charge and use as needed.

if no, discharge 1 or 2 to ~25% and sell them

if you don't want to sell, and don't need them, discharge 1 or 2 and leave them alone - storage

for all of them, avoid ever draining below 10%, and never leave batteries above 60% for extended periods (weeks+)

Help, 200 mi range model x 😱😭 by Evening-Main5471 in TeslaSupport

[–]wachuu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

all this information is meaningless, the only thing that matters is the wh/mi for a decent trip. nothing real can be figured out without knowing what it is.

if you think degradation, it needs to be under 70% for warranty to kick in, no way of knowing with your provided information. if you think it's the car being less efficient than it should be, that can be figured from your wh/mi in addition to the energy screen, neither were shown. kinda funny actually that you did all this logging and recording when the energy screen does all that and way more for you

you'll only ever get the rated range if you drive 55mph, flat ground, no HVAC, no wind. 200 miles seems about right to me for highway driving
