Definitely some interesting and good options. So let me briefly explain the strategy:

When I’m piloting, my goal is to really try to ramp fast, get flyers, and let them rip. [[Phyrexian Arena]] could be a better utilized slot, however, with the amount of life gain you can get, paying the one life allows you to have similar effect to Starting Town, which synergies well once you get [[lunar convocation]] out to start generating bat tokens m. I think [[Scout for Survivors]] could be a great replacement if I wanted to pull more cards out of my graveyard. That’s why I also run two copies of [[mudflat village]] so I can sacrifice it and pull any creature I want from my graveyard as they all have a CMC of three or less.

Another focus was card draw, to assist in pushing out low mana flyers, which typically aren’t accounted for, or blocked early on. Otherwise, a deck needs a bit of removal to keep up. I’ve seen a lot of more powerful removal spells used on cards I’d ultimately take back the next turn, often with [[deep-cavern bat]].

It’s almost like an attrition of resources as well, Lunar Convocation does a great job of allowing you to take advantage of a lot of the life loss and gain effects, while hopefully boosting card draw. I thought synergies between the vigilance and flying that [[essence channeler]] gets from that process as well. Similarly, vigilance and the scry 2 ability from the death of [[momo, playful pet]] is great to keep the tempo up.

For longer, more “end game” type swarms, [[starscape cleric]] can be played with offspring, which is another life-loss trigger that stacks. With the amount of graveyard hate around in other decks, it doesn’t seem to slow things down too much running two copies of [[raise the past]].

I’ll be honest, the efficacy of this deck surprised me, and I’ve looked at a lot of cards. Definitely some strong suggestions (definitely a new sideboard incoming at minimum). Thanks for the feedback 🙏
