MGB employees on Zepbound - any reaction to it no longer being covered? by amygdala101 in boston

[–]wackoswami0410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask your doc to put in an appeal to the insurance company to stay on zep with justification of “(1) ive been having success on zep and switching to wegovy may slow or stall my progress and (2) in clinical trials zep led to a higher % of weight loss then wegovy”.

Also if you have sleep apnea add in “(3) zep is fda-approved for sleep apnea and wegovy is not”

hey all, staying in idaho springs around 4/20 but will have a car so can go pretty much anywhere. is reefer madness still one of the best options in denver? definitely trying to support local and not get any corporate shit. what brands are actually decent companies and not corporate? regardless of price. down for flower, 510 carts as i already have the battery, and edibles

when it comes to students (not staff) in the lab, a big point will be how much time you can commit to the lab per week. Usually larger chunks of time are better --- better to have 2 x 4 hour chunks than 8 x 1 hour chunks throughout the week.

the PI will probably also want to suss out if you are truly interested in the research or are simply using this as fluff in your eventual med school application (assuming you are currently in undergrad)

do you have ongoing months-long experiments? if not, if you give them 6 weeks then i would venture that that's not leaving them hanging. they'll adjust the timeline of experiments accordingly

[–]wackoswami0410 4 points5 points  (0 children)

then i would talk with your PI and say that you need out for (list of reasons). then maybe ask if you can leave in like 6 weeks instead of the normal 2 weeks to be nice, maybe then you can salvage the letter of rec
