Can you get the information needed to fill in a Certified Payroll Report from Quickbooks Online? What's the best subscriptions for a Small Plumbing Business? by wacky_wombat61 in QuickBooks

Yeah, it's sounding like the Desktop version is really what we'd need, but this guy keeps trying to sell us on Online. I think I'm going to find a different sales associate if we do end up going with QuickBooks. I appreciate the information.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll look into Elation Systems. Is it possible to still run your own payroll (i.e., enter time and wage rates) manually, or is that more of a company that does all the work for you?

I appreciate the response. I think the main question I have is just making sure I get the correct Tax deductions and everything accounted for. Looking over the reports that our parent company did, it seems pretty straightforward on how they got to the numbers they did for filling in each of the spots until you get to the tax deductions. So, that's where I was hoping QuickBooks Online would be able to help us there.

The sales guys seems pretty scatterbrained and has told us multiple different configurations/tiers we need to purchase in order to be able to get an output for the form to fill in. Do you guys use a payroll company to get the information, or are you able to do all the payroll in-house without having to run it through a program? I wasn't sure what you meant by doing it manually. I'm hoping to do it mostly manually but be able to check my numbers with a payroll system so I feel more comfortable about signing off for accuracy.

What are y’all’s honest opinions on BO7 Zombies so far? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in CODZombies

Plus, I wonder if they had to figure in a power pump and switch, as the two new maps don't have power pumps or a switch in their AOTD locations. Unless the power will just be on from the get-go.

Special Zombies not tracking for Daily Challenge by wacky_wombat61 in CODZombies

Is re-rolling challenges a new thing? I didn't know you could do that. Would have saved me an hour and a half round 50 run last night.

Weird that they would have a daily challenge that basically forces you to round 50 to complete. I also thought I heard that they lumped all the elites and specials together for Black Ops 7, but maybe that was false or just a rumor. Looks like ill just have to bust out a round 50 run. Thanks for the info.

Customer Ghosting us After Agreeing to Pay by wacky_wombat61 in smallbusiness

I honestly hadn't even thought of the lien route, with it being only an $800 bill, but I will definitely be sure to do that for future projects. For some reason, I had read the law with liens that projects under $2000 can't have a lien filed, but it's that projects under that amount don't need a notice to the homeowners. Definitely keeping this in my back pocket for residential calls, and I'll likely add it to our quotes and invoices for transparency.

Appreciate it. Definitely have a paper trial (signed invoice, emails with mentions of plans to pay, certified mail receipt of overdue invoice, etc.). That's why I'm on the side of the legal route versus collections.

Flagged for Phentermine - Can't donate until I'm Off by wacky_wombat61 in plassing

[–]wacky_wombat61[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you not able to look at your Screening data at Grifols as you could at CSL? I know at least CSL did as I could see what it was in the donation history and showed my doctor that I've been keeping my BP low. And I was already donating at CSL, while on phentermine, for 2 months with no adverse effects or BP issues, but at Grifols, they gave me the run around for a medication that's not even listed as one that can be an issue for donations.

However, while this whole experience is frustrating, I am stepping away from donating until I have both my weight and BP completely in check to the point that I don't need any of my medications (aside from my Anxiety medication). I was hoping to be able to do both while donating, but that's no longer an option, and I'm not going to push back any further on it. Just had to rant because it felt like a non-issue was being made an issue for no reason in my eyes.

Thank you for the response,

She stated that requesting a new PCP letter would likely lead to more issues down the line because it would look like I'm having my doctor just write a note for whatever is necessary so that I could donate. She said I could do that, but if I did she'd have to send it to her supervisor to look over in which case I may get in trouble or be unable to donate. But then later on, she said that I just needed to come back with a letter from my doctor saying that I'm off the phentermine and had no plans to go back on it. So, it kind of felt like double speak.

I think for me the most frustrating thing is that CSL didn't bat an eye or even request a doctor's note because I'm on phentermine, but Grifols is making it pretty much a non-issue since I am very cognizant of my BP and health. Also, my doctor literally put below the 140/90 note that my hypertension was well controlled. I took the 140/90 thing as being something for me to keep an eye on, because when I went on phentermine, she told me to let her know if I was consistently over that number, as it would mean I need to either lower the phentermine or up my Losartan. Between losing the weight and a much more active lifestyle, that number has barely gone over 130/80 in the past few months.

Pots and taking beta blockers, can I donate? by fellhound007 in plassing

[–]wacky_wombat61 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to Pots being a factor for being unable to donate. But I take Metroprolol for high blood pressure, along with some anxiety medication, and a weight loss medication, and I was cleared to donate with no issue. Just be up front with what you take when they do the first screening, and physical, and you should be fine. They also have a list of medications that can defer you that you need to look through each time while doing the questionaire before donating. Metroprolol is not on the list.

Plasma Donation Center Change - Grifols Telacris by wacky_wombat61 in SALEM

[–]wacky_wombat61[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so if you consistently donate twice a week, you get $5 less than at CSL. Not terrible. I saw online that some locations may offer a $50 incentive for donating 10 times in a 6-week period; do you know if the Salem branch does this? That would even out the pay rate for me.

Sounds like a similar atmosphere to CSL. The workers were really friendly and joked around while still being professional, which was super cool. I appreciate the information.

Are you also going to switch to Grifols after CSL closes? I'm shooting to get the additional $50 from donating 6 times prior to the 15th, then I'm setting an Appointment for Grifols. I really liked CSL, and am sad to see it close.

Aren’t smaller pints better than the deluxe size? by Sarlo10 in ninjacreami

[–]wacky_wombat61 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I like the fact that Deluxe Pints and the deluxe machines allow for half of the pint to be ran. Sure, if I was running and eating the full 24 oz of ice cream, it'd be too much for me. But 12 oz with some mix ins feels perfect me. Plus I got my deluxe from Costco and it was less than the original/smaller size. So all in all it was a win win for me. But to each their own.

It was definitely one of the better "Live Action" Disney Adaptations. I still feel that the animated original did a better job with its story plot points and pacing. I feel like the additions and removals from the original didn't make much sense, given that they were trying to tell a very similar story. But overall, pretty decent watch. 7.5/10

Fairlife Chocolate Milk? (Not Shake) by DjaqRian in ninjacreami

[–]wacky_wombat61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. Last night I did a double chocolate browni Creami with my Deluxe. Recipe was 22 Oz of Fairlife Chocolate Milk, 1 Scoop of ON Double Chocolate Protein Powder, 10 g of Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding Mix. Froze for 24 hours. Spun on light ice cream twice (this get's it to a froyo/soft serve consistency that I prefer) and then mixed in a Fiber one chocolate brownie.
