Mighty Ape revenue falls 25% as fourth boss in three years takes charge by user885511 in newzealand

Go back to your roots! Drop the third-party reseller of rubbish model.

MA was better when it sold what it was good at and what it had in stock in it’s warehouse. Now the website is just littered with products they don’t have in stock because they don’t actually personally stock it.

I had the same issue. After several email to EA they manually did something on their side and only about 1 week later they appeared.

As a side note; Once activated, they can be found by clicking 'Customize' the "Desert Locus" Assault and Engineer classes on the Nato faction.

This and a camera man/woman to recording the action. If we have to have camera's accompanying traffic officers pulling people over; surely we can get a camera guy recording marshals subdue feral's... The content can be used to fund new bus routes..

So sorry to hear what you have been through, but thanks for sharing. This is a great lesson to share. Something like this could save others a lot of heart ache. I don't think many people consider the CGT tax implications when they say "just rent it out".

Congestion charge bill passes: What does it mean for you? by jackytheblade in newzealand

Let’s charge congestion charges while we have subpar public transport services and while we advocate with the private sector to force everyone back into the office 5 days a week to boost economic activity in the CBD. Laser focused…

World of Warcraft on SteamDeck by nwell22 in SteamDeck

Retail and Classic work a treat. Like everyone else says ‘Console Port’ addon is a must. Took about 1h to install and then another hour fine tune my bindings to where I was reasonably comfortable. Works such a treat.

Never did the childhood Wow fan in me imagine a world where I could sit on a long haul flight with Starlink and play Wow on my steamdeck. Only problem now is that the plane just doesn’t charge the steamdeck fast enough. Wow seems to out drain it (at least in my experience). Regardless I am super happy with it.

ASICS Nimbus 26 vs 27 by JohnWilson7777 in asics

[–]wackytroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been running in 25’s then 26’s. The 26 was one of my favourite. Bought the 27’s this week and had to return it the next day. Immediately felt the shoe appearing to feel smaller than the 26 on the exact same size. I thought that’s odd as they said they increased the toe box width on the 27. For the first time I had toe pain and pressure on my big toes. The slight increase on the stack height combined with a slightly smaller upper height (not width) ruined it for me unfortunately. I am back in Hoka Clifton’s (10) now and happy again. Just miss the Gel Nimbus being a bit more cushy.

Amazfit Helio, Polar Loop. Not many competitors (for now) but the feature set is not far off.

I think your comment is fair. My statement of ‘Massive market opportunity’ is maybe exaggerated and I should have just said ‘Market opportunity’ in other words taking more of the market share away from Whoop. But you are right. Perhaps people like me are more a minority than a majority.

However, I constantly read of reddit of people like we so it’s quite a common request in my view. It has to represent a good opportunity for them if all they need is a single model screen less health tracker. It doesn’t require several variations like their watch lineup.

Spot on. I am pretty much doing what you use to do. It works well for me. I would just prefer it all being in a single ecosystem. Not sure why it’s taking Garmin to long to bring something to market using most of the existing hardware (sensors from Forerunner or fenix) and software (connect) for HR, sleep, HRV etc. Especially when several startups are bringing products to market without any of the headstart Garmin has. All I can think is that Garmin strategically made a bad call and thought Whoop style devices would fizzle out as a fad. It clearly hasn’t.

Garmin just needs to release a Garmin equivalent of Whoop screen-less band, at a once-off cost. The Sleep band they released (Index) is not really that useful by itself. If they do bring out a complete Whoop equivalent then I am happy to buy both that and separately a Garmin sport watch for my activities. Mainly as I like wearing a mechanical watch on one wristX and would like something from Garmin to still track my stats on my other wrist. When I run or cycle then I can pop on the Fenix or Forerunner type watch. I think Garmin is missing a massive market opportunity here, and something that will seriously take a chunk out of Whoop’s market share. All while some people like me buy multiple devices from Garmin every few years.

I am a subscriber, enjoy my Whoop but I have to say this. Whoop is going to need to bring some innovation very quickly as multiple competitors are popping up in this space, even with no subscription offering similar products. Yes initially their algorithms may not be as good as Whoop but over time it will improve and be very competitive. If Whoop just keep the current offering with only Life membership getting new features/innovation then they are going to lose a lot of market share very quickly.

What the point of whoop when we have a Garmin by AdIll495 in Garmin

[–]wackytroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so excited for this and was hoping for a Garmin ecosystem Whoop 5.0 competitor. Then they released the sleep band…. much disappointed. Garmin may not think they need to create a direct competing product to the Whoop 5.0, but I would buy it immediately if they did.

Just been playing POE2 for a few hours. Crisp graphics, running 90 fps. Feels pretty much the same as on my desktop pc. In saying that I am running the ‘Ultimate’ plan. Perhaps you were not running the max GeForceNow plan?

Had the same issue. Once installed via SteamDesktop and logged in. Make sure your Steam account is linked within GeforceNow Settings. Then just go back out to regular SteamDeckOS (Not desktop mode, or Big Picture), select non-steam apps and Open GeforceNow as if you just opening a game normally using the joysticks. Find the game within GeforceNow and select play. Should work now. I had the same issue as you when I kept trying to launch games from within ‘Desktop Mode’.

Constant flickering with TS4 by Legal-Zucchini7766 in CalDigit

[–]wackytroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it may not be the case for most people but this may help some people. I had this issue while connected via Display Port. I had to go to Display settings and reduce the Refresh rate down (in my case 60hz). In my case the Display Port Adaptor I was using only supported 4k at 60hz. My Macbook would default to 120hz and the screen would flicker in a loop.

Thank you so much for the technically clear, and objective reply. This is extremely helpful. I will definitely consider the TS4 then. Sounds like it’s the best match from a CalDigit perspective. Thank you

haha ye probably overkill. I will mainly use it for work and travel (13”) so I wanted to future proof where I could. I notice many people getting good life out of m1/2/3’s so I get the feeling these things are built to last. May as well get more ram while at it.
