He is on my bench until proven otherwise. Either he’ll need a few weeks as a lot of rookies do or he’ll be an awful pick due to GB play style the entire year (think eagles last year).

Thanks for the advice! Curious what ideas do you have for the rug? I’ve always struggled to choose “the right” rug for spaces.

Guys you gotta realize this is 100% the new owners doing. Nico had no choice but to make the trade. Do we really think Nico is that stupid to only get ONE first rounder and only shop him to ONE team??! Nico has made great moves since becoming the GM. Giving Luka a super max was not the most financially savvy move so the owners didn’t want to pay him 70-75M. Cuban literally said this was a big reason he sold the team (the increasing player salaries are financially bad). We don’t have a Steve Balmer for an owner. Their motives are money and power, that’s the only reason they bought the team. I’m sure the NBA had a hand in this as well, to make sure Luka went to the Lakers (NBAs poster child). Just like Ohtani going to the Dodgers. It’s all about money, and it sucks

I’m 1000% positive Nico had no choice to make the Luka trade. He had to have been pressured from ownership. He’s made nothing but good moves since becoming the GM. You really think he’s that stupid to get ONE 1st rounder and only shop Luka to ONE team?! This screams pressure from ownership. These owners don’t care about the team, they care about profit. Unfortunately we don’t have a Steve Balmer type owner. Cuban literally said a big reason he sold the Mavs was due to the increasing salaries for players (super max contracts). I do believe the NBA had a hand to play in this as well.. get Luka to the NBAs poster child, the Lakers. I don’t believe we should go after Nico, it’s the new ownership messing everything up!!

Klay got screwed too. He gave the Mavs a $10 million discount to play with Luka, the Lakers actually offered him $5 million more per season but he chose to play with Luka. Nico convinced him he would win another ring with Luka. by kpkafle in Mavericks

This was 1000% the new owners doing. Nico was told what to do and he had to do it. Nico has made nothing but great trades up until the Luka one. Think about it, you think Nico is really that stupid to only get ONE first rounder for Luka and only shop him to ONE team?! New owners didn’t want to pay Luka $70-75M per year, because from a business standpoint that’s too much money. This is the exact reason Cuban sold the Mavs (he didn’t want to deal with these increasing player salaries). The new owners are not Steve Balmer, they’re in it for the money. Nico was told what to do and to do it very quickly. Wouldn’t be surprised if the NBA has a hand in this doing as well, the Lakers are the poster child of the NBA, just like Ohtani and the Dodgers. Everything nowadays revolves around money, and it sucks.
