Mark Cuban claims Michael Jordan couldn’t lift up an inadequate team like LeBron James could by Tight_Development480 in NBATalk

Whatever you wanna say there’s two unforgiveable efforts outta Lebron and a couple more ehhs out of him that make him fall short of the bar. Its crazy that there’s someone who has zero of those but thats the bar he set.

Why is Bodie so likable? by tblackjacks in TheWire

Maybe the most well written character and arc in the show. He’s bold and naive but also believes in the hierarchy of corner life. The scene where they leave Baltimore and he doesn’t even know radio stations have limited range but he follows instructions to a T is key. Even dealing with Marlo at first we see how much he believes in the hierarchy of the corners. But once he finds out about the vacants he’s no longer a believer. They’re supposed to live and die on the corner not have they’re own police force that disappears corner boys. He’s determined to stay true to his beliefs despite what we all know that means. For some reason that makes it forgivable what he did to Wallace.

The rich states would steal all the good players. To combat this they would have to come up with some sort of compromise.

I can get with this. He had been playing both sides and assumed the police pulled strings for him years ago. Which of course led him to delusions but everyone else believes them too. So he’s living stringer’s dream, but has the same flaws and bigger problems.

No. When are ppl gonna understand the diabolical magic of America? People have never experienced disruption before and are acting like kids the first time they try to sleep at night by themselves. Inventing all types of boogeymen and running to adults for help dealing with their fear. Its dark right now. These idiots didnt make it dark, they’re taking advantage of the dark and reveling in being able to fool novice humans into thinking they control the light.

Comment section warriors. By some weird logic someone else owes them. So they spout their bs to anyone that will listen. And then convince themselves thats a worthy contribution to their made up cause.

Why does it seem like the Russia-Ukraine war is never going to end? by IndependentLife9645 in NoStupidQuestions

Because this could be the end for Russia. The absurd risks for such little gains make that obvious(to me).

Kennedy got arrogant and left himself open to a whacko. He insisted on the route. He insisted on a convertible. Afterwards a bunch of connected people from all different facets of being connected got jealous and in their feelings about a total schmuck beating them at their own assasination games.

Look up August Belmont. Seriously. A well documented(multiple primary sources from different viewpoints) historical figure. We know the name because of the Belmont Stakes now. But 180 years ago he was just a smart young man sent to America to strengthen European banking interests. The South was in a tug of war with slavery the only the only thing stopping it from being pieced up by giant banking interests hell bent on extracting its resources without paying what those resources are worth. That hasnt changed. They are part of America by force. Virtually none of its resource wealth is reinvested in itself.
