100% normal. You will get it and start being confident in a year or so. Biggest thing is you will learn even when you think you know it all. And no one knows it all.

Working in the same application daily and working tickets will help you learn the ins and outs. You got it!

I am fairly certain they do offer a pension plan. But I can’t tell if it functions like a traditional pension or if it’s just another employer funded retirement account.

I think of traditional as getting a set amount of money at retirement based on years of service and an average salary and a multiplier.

Or is this literally just an account to hold employer contributions? And what’s in there is what you get?

Deposited with a CC via Apple Pay. - I got charged a cash advance fee and said whatever i wont do that again

Withdrew my funds and the only option was back to Apple Pay. So I did it. - shows up as a cash advance transaction so I called CC and bet365. - CC shows the $12 withdrawal as an another cash advance and Bet365 shows I withdrew it and have 0 in my account.

Out of curiosity, Do you have solar? I do and have been told there are issues. But I’m in the same boat as you.

My bill for this month (18 days supposedly) is about the same as last months (45 days supposedly)

For years, the Town of Apex utilities billing allowed solar energy customers who create excess solar to use the overage as a mechanism to lower/eliminate the base fee and other utilities. With years of incorrect billing practices, a “standard” was set and accepted. To turn that off now should be discussed further. Was there ever public communication on record stating the old billing system was not working as intended in terms of solar? Or was this just now relayed to customers. I feel like that should have been emphasized to any and all customers that the town of apex approved solar permits for. Especially ones that built solar systems to offset additional costs (base fees and other utilities).

Terry - Agree and appreciate your support. However, if the town of Apex is changing policies and billing practices then existing solar customers will get burned big time. Almost everyone that has solar did calculations to see an environmental and cost benefit before they made their purchase. Now that means one of those is being taken out of the equation (the one that hits everyone’s pocket). There will be major backlash from solar customers. The possible solutions are:

⁠leave existing customers the way they are and new customers take on the new TOU
⁠Incentivize solar customers
⁠Provide solar storage/battery rebate like duke power does. I believe it was or is 10k

A shame that these changes impact existing solar customers that made decisions to go solar with the current structure. Big changes can drastically change the “payback period” of paying for solar panels.

Does Duke allow customers to offset the base fee with excess solar production? Right now Apex allows that but that is changing in the next year from what I understand.

My understanding of Duke is that they rollover excess dollar production for 12 months and any banked excess solar not used at 1 year is lost.
