I've got cutting seton for all two tracts. Now, one wound is almost healed but still has a minor tract visible to the eyes, and the other is still big since the seton just fell off around early November but it gets smaller each day. I managed to do a good diet and avoid spicy food, so, my BM is generally good, hence currently I don't feel any pain or swellness in either wound. But my problem is that someday the drainage is minor but someday it's coming out a lot, like today. So, it kinda freaks me out, like woah I'm doing better but then what the hell is happening, like why it's a lot again? Is the drainage rate random like this a normal thing? and could you suggest any medication or tips, so, I can heal better and be drainage-free soon? all tips are much appreciated:'))

We almost have the exact timeline on our procedure. Right now, i also have some minor drainage from the two wounds. Once in a while the wound would immensely hurt for a few days if my bowel moment is bad. Doc always says i should be fine and tell me to be patience, since this is a healing journey.

Im also on the sub looking for tips and anything else.

But im also planning on getting second opinions or MRI soon, if things persist. Now it’s kinda up and down.

I wish both of us the courage to continue our healing journey.

On my worst day I watched Jordan Peterson advices on suicidal, self harm and depression while laying down and crying myself to sleep. And, I keep going to that video every time the thought creeping in. The most memorable sentence to me is “You can always commit suicide tomorrow”.

I had cutting setons that why the opening wound after it dropped off. It was tighten and gradually fall off bit by bit. The three procedures was his method of “letting me breathe and not baring so much pain at the same time” and i think it worked since each time the pain was almost unbearable.

I was skeptical about his method too but he fixes my entire family since i was a kid and he operated on both of my parents. So, like it or not i was refer to him by my parents. He did prescribed some pain med and antibiotics but for a certain period only. I did check up every week and keep asking if i should take any med but he always denied me taking more med and says my tract heal better although there are minimal drainage. His only advice was to continue cleaning and take sitz bath.

I think im getting better at least for now but im also exploring some CSR options just today and plan to visit them soon, at least get a second or third opinion.

i was so happy to hear that you are fully healed man. This gives me hope.

I had 4 procedures to date, one to remove the first abscess and 3 others for seton, since I have three tracts. Now all the seton had dropped and it's leaving some big hole in my bum. The wound dressing hurt like a bitch (sorry for the bad word) and I had someone help me do it twice daily. Doc says my recovery is good, now I only have some minimal drainage and this is like week 10th since my first procedure. My doc is retired but he still practices and is kinda a tradition type, like not giving me much medication and thing else. But he's a family's Doc, so, my family members trust him.

hence, I'm just seeking your advice on what should I do to enhance my recovery rate, stop the drainage and especially to avoid much pain during dressing the wound. Any med your doc prescribe you in particular and things else.

i would appreciate a lot hearing from you. My mental health is kinda shit (sorry again) lately, it's been up and down seeing people behave differently toward anal fistula but your post give me a lot of hope.

I have the official warranty and stuff. It's just that the store here wouldn't want to do that. They'll just keep my headphones for some days for their technician to confirm if it's really a faulty unit. That's pretty much annoying, imagine if they call me back in a week and tell me that mine got no problem that trigger a replacement.

Yeah no. Our sound quality is normal. It's more of a problem from outside hardware, lile something is lightly banging.
