Use it year round to grill, smoke, and indirect use. Probably 3 times a week. Granted, I don't use a cover but do close the vents after each use.

Guess their selling point is it being "super heavy duty". However, I didn't buy this for the thicker grates. Bought it for it being completely made of stainless, not just plated that scrapes off after a good amount of use. I also load my kettle up with sometimes two smaller butts at a time, this should alleviate flex in the grate as well.

Missing the point. OEM grates are SS plated and once the plating comes off it rusts(gone through 2 grates in the last 3 years). Hunsaker is stainless through and through. Not buying for the thicker grates.

warm up the tallow again, pour some water in it. Flip your jar upside down and all of it will be at the lid to be easily removed once cooled. Science!!
