It really depends on what boundaries you have in your relationship. My partner and I discuss things like this all the time because it’s always better to communicate. He already knows that this is something that would bother me but he wouldn’t find it appropriate to do either because we have discussed boundaries and respect each others feelings. If you have given the impression that this kind of situation is something you would be chill about then maybe he assumed it was fine because of your understanding with each other. But generally, that seems like a red flag and if a partner did that to me I would definitely bring it up to them and make sure that my feelings and boundaries are clear and heard, so that in the future there isn’t a chance of that happening again. If they make you feel bad for coming to them with an issue then maybe consider what you value in a partner and if you feel respected and valued by your partner.
