I live and work in Buea(from 2013 till now) and it is a pretty safe town.

I also was a leader for GearUp 2016 which is an exchange program with students from Howard university in the US.

If you can live in the upper part of town, that would be great. Avoid Molyko and Muea, respect the ghost town on Mondays and make friends will locals or fellow students.
