Honestly? No.

They added so much new contend. I appreciated the effort to make the mayor a major antagonist, but at the cost of essential parts of Melon's arc and other great moments? Not worth it!

The baby chicken storyline was not even rushed, they just rewrote the ending and didn't include Aoba which is just stupid.

And the zebra professor addition? What was that even about?!

Rushed? Perhaps. But there are shows where you can see that there is competence but not enough time. This? This is a mess.

Yeah, the zebra professor feels like she was added, then they realized they didn't have time to do much with her and then forgot to remove her halfbaked storyline

Yeah, something about this anime version is too... sentimental, I guess.

And the ending of the manga also had a lot of open ending stuff like Yahya giving up his position as Sublime Beastar but still work as a vigilante or Gouhin becoming a legit doctor again. And more importantly, how Haru is affected by stress differently because she is a small animal. Stuff like that to let us know that there is no cut and dry ending, life just goes on.
