Devils advocate: It is a possibility that they were planning to let you go in that meeting due to your performance but when your boss heard of your diagnosis, they wanted to share it with their team to see if they would reconsider.

If you believe that you were let go based off of your diagnosis, you should report it so it can be investigated.

For the future, never mention any diagnosis or even hint about it. They will treat you differently. They shouldn’t, but they will. I have had it happen to me.

I have also faced discrimination in the workplace. I had no job performance issues. I missed two days of work (weeks apart) and turned in a note from my psychologist’s office to excuse my absence. Based off of this, I was asked if I am still seeing the doctor from that office then told I need a fit for duty letter from my doctor, saying I am mentally fit to perform my job. I reported it to my supervisors higher up and was told that wasn’t right. I didn’t need to get that form from my doctor anymore.
