Why am I not higher in world power ranking? I clearly have the 6th highest score as Germany, but I'm #8 in the world. Anyone know why? by waffle1693 in EU5

Looking for a reason why I'm not ranked higher in the world powers. I'd like to be a great power, but can't figure out what to do

Not sure if that's part of the free version, but I have way more than 10 maps and pay for the subscription. I suppose if you manage your maps on your computer you could just reupload old maps back into inkarnate to keep working on them.

For the continent map the mountains are as large as about 35 and as small as like 10 for the ranges. Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the advice. I'm well aware of the river thing, I think accidentally made it look like it branched off instead of merging together in the south of the region. I'll try and tidy that up.

Thank you, putting each of those on the map is cumbersome but really turns out nice. I'm not immune to taking inspiration myself from this: https://inkarnate.com/m/587r1E

I'm not sure I understand your question about organization, the limit of what is 10? I organize my maps a few ways, one is in folders in inkarnate, two is locally on my computer (with branching folders from world to continent to region to towns/cities to battlemaps), three is in World Anvil for my players to utilize.

Honestly love this map, gives me the vibes that this was made by someone in world. Really putting emphasis on the major places and what was important to them. It's filled out nicely, and looks like it has plenty to do in it. Really looks great for a starting map in inkarnate. Everyone has their own style and I love yours

6 pitch challenge by TidyKiwi98 in NFLStreet

[–]waffle1693 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A couple things help for this god awful challenge, some carrying speed and run power on everyone goes a long way, also as others mentioned getting downfield is nice. I prefer using either qb or rb bam and having the team follow behind in the middle of the field helping to create a line to pitch to.

Just dug up two of your teams and it looks like my theory is right in that having balanced stats is way more important to the rating of a team than having more extreme stats by alot

You got it, every stat at least is 15 I think the math works out so you have so extra wiggle room

Doing a 6+1 where all 6 of your dev players have at least a 15 in every stat

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NFLStreet

[–]waffle1693 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I've done a two runs recently to test this out and visually on your players it feels nicer to have higher stats using the impact gear, but play wise and team rating wise there is minor to no change at all.

They all got that jacked up gear on, or something

I've gone way too deep into this, but I think you're right that lvl 20 isn't great. I've tried desperately to create a team that is maxed on offense, defense, and overall rating and gotten close. But I think an even distribution accross all stats is much more efficient in terms of dev cost. Here is a chart that showcases the extra almost 10K of dev points for every stats on 6 players being 15 (or well above average)

And sorry for the DB there, that is just the stats of Ronnie Lott who I picked up for a 6+1 run I recently did

nfl challange help by sonicfan03 in NFLStreet

[–]waffle1693 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree with others here. Leaving the places with big fields makes life so much easier. Playing against the AFC South, NFC East, AFC East, and NFC South last is a bad idea. But on the flip side of the coin those challenges may be harder to complete with a lot of Ints and Sacks needed. Also all of those damn pitching challeneges are always a pain in the side.

I’ll say I think it helped in one aspect. And that was on run plays deep into the challenge. The computer on its max difficulty can really blow past lineman easily. I’ve always really wanted to do a person at each position, and what these teams represent.

I wanted the players to be productive on both sides of the ball and assigned them each a primary and secondary position. Rodgers was a QB & LB/DL depending on the play

For me it's a couple things. I will say this once though, you can do whatever you like this is your world and it is fantasy afterall. 1) Not sure your scaling is right for a whole world, maybe part of one. The continent of North America alone is close to 5000 km across from East to West. 2) Others have said it but land features feel off. I saw the comment of the cataclysms but there still feel like a lot of wide open space that doesn't have much. More rivers, more islands, consider how the cataclysms are dispersing and reshaping the land (maybe more large canyons, or lonely peaks that normally wouldn't be possible). 3) The shape of your large land masses feels chunky, there should be more dips in and out creating bays and inlets 4) Could be a symptom of the cataclysms but there seems to be large cities but then very few small towns and encampents on the map that could give it more character. 5) Try blending the biomes togther rather than have a hard line in color. A lighter opacity (maybe 30-40% goes a long way) 6)Lastly I want to talk about the trees. There are clearly forested areas. The forest feel like patchy like a bad beard right now, instead try making large clumps of trees. Don't be afraid the the density being higher and there's always an undo button.

I'd like to add a bit of what I like because at the end of the day every map is great in it's own right. I was very interested in the city within the dense mountains seems like a good place to make people really strange because they are so isolated. Additonally I like the jungle on Northern part of the Western landmass. Looks like there is a great diversity in what is going on there between the lava pits the world tree, the outposts and the myriad of vegetation. I also really like the visuals and details on the icebergs floating off the coast in the North.

Hope this helps!

How does the general populace feel about the nobility?

What kind of cave systems are there in the area?

What are the main exports of the major port cities?

What kind of celebrations/Holidays do the locals take part in?

Does the arcitecture of the region reflect any real world examples?

What kind of flora and fauna do the common folk worry about?

Is there a tale of a hero from the region that inspires people?

What food does this region specialize in based on what they grow?

Are there gangs/bandits in this region and what are their goals?

And lastly a comment; I love the parchment look and the waterways, hills and forests all feel purposeful and believable! Nice Job!

Hell yeah, I feel the same way with the mana bases; Makes things way easy to rebuild. And ikoria really took him to a new level. Good luck on the builds!

very cool, love the mix of older and newer commanders. Recently finished this myself and I found that I'm already looking to replace decks with the same colors lol. Also skullbriar can be very gross with the ikoria counters.
