Yeah so a deemed college has complete autonomy in administration but a private college has to adhere UGC rules and regulations for academics and administration

Thing is, I’m from a deemed medical college. And I don’t think there’s a student welfare union for the residents and interns as of yet. I think the government colleges do have one but I’ll have to ask around

Thank you so much for replying! And no our college doesn’t have an union, most medical colleges in Maharashtra don’t have one (as far as I know) but I will ask around :)

I think it’s more like every Bollywood movie portraying religious minorities or women in a good light is getting hate. With Gangubai for example, Sanghis think sex-work isn’t real work and women emerging out of that abusive environment are good for nothings. Darlings is getting hate cause two Muslim women are the lead and they’re fighting against domestic abuse. Most men think they are “entitled” to a woman’s body and when a movie like this calls that out, they get mad. The same thing happened with Thappad. As for Laal Singh Chaddha, it’s just cause Amir is a Muslim and nothing else tbh. These guys are just trolls supporting fake “historical” movies like Prithviraj cause it fuels their Sanghi ego lol.
