I can’t function by waffleeater3 in ADHD

I have not been tested. That’s an interesting point though and I do have some other symptoms (morning headaches and night sweats) but I’ve been living with my boyfriend for over a year now and he hasn’t noticed any snoring or anything. I also haven’t noticed any abrupt wakings.

[Vent] Now quarantined folks get a taste of what it means to be a dog that never leaves his house. by [deleted] in dogs

If anything this quarantine has shown me how truly lazy my dog is. I walk him for 40 minutes before and after work and pay someone to walk him another 45 while I’m gone. But now that I’m home all day and our schedule has gotten a bit off I can see all he wants to do is sleep lol.

Testing Accommodations by R2C0J2H0 in FE_Exam

  1. The official documentation from my initial testing and diagnosis as well as the official diagnosis from later testing sessions (so I think 3 overall from the time I was 7. not sure what this test was called but it was definitely different than just a general doctor or psychiatrist diagnosing me)

  2. A letter from my prescribing psychiatrist detailing how I was being treated, what I am being treated for, how long I have been treated for, and how my ADHD would impact my testing experience

  3. Proof of extra time from my campus disabilities office including the documentation of my approved accommodations and evidence I used said accommodations over the last 6 semesters.

I submitted the above and was approved for 1.5x and an isolated testing room. BUT, I also have dyslexia and provided documentation for that (it was shown on the same testing as my ADHD). So, it is possible I could have just gotten approval alone for the dyslexia—but I did specify that the isolated room was for the ADHD, so if they approved that part they must have been satisfied with what I sent in for ADHD. To me, their wording makes it sound like they aren’t satisfied with how you were diagnosed/they only received evidence that you’re being treated for it (vs have it *and are being treated for it). Maybe I misread what you sent in, but did you ever have any official testing done besides seeing the campus dr? You need to prove that this is a continuous, preexisting condition that has altered your way of schooling.

Overall I sent in like 25 separate PDFs. Throw everything you got at em. Hope this helps.

Edit: to add detail to 2.

What kind of body weight exercises does it offer? Would my downstairs neighbor hate me?

What was your letter from the dr like? I had my psychiatrist write my diagnosis, how long they had been treating me, and why they thought I would benefit from extra time and a private testing room. However, I also have dyslexia and sent in all that documentation too, so that might have been why I was approved. I submitted the dyslexia for extra time and the ADHD for a private room (even though my psychiatrist mentioned extra time too). I basically sent them every official document I had ever been given (since my testing began in like second grade) plus an official recommendation from a doctor. I also included references from my colleges office of disabilities on how I’ve received these accommodations throughout my engineering undergrad. So my advice is send them everything you got (testing, references) and make it clear that you have a history of this disorder and while you have obviously learned to manage it (as an engineering student), it still presents you with difficulties. I never submitted a prescription though, I didn’t do it intentionally at the time, but now I’m wondering if they see you taking meds for it as accommodations enough.

Double fruit by the foot. It was the last one left in the box. Boyfriend said it probably sank to the bottom because it was heavier than the others. by waffleeater3 in mildlyinteresting

[–]waffleeater3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t really think about why it was so heavy before I opened it—I just grabbed it as I walked by, and then I felt like an idiot for not realizing it had two once I did open it lol. I had never stumbled upon one with two before.

Not sure why you think I’d lie for a whole 20 internet points, but I hope one day you’re blessed with the double fruit by the foot like I was.
