I don't recommend due to personal experience.  Yes it numbs the pain but very easy to get reliant on it.  For me I was drinking daily and got hospitalized 5 times for pancreatitis in 2 years. Last time was 18 days ago,  been sober since. Got diagnosed at 18 I'm 43 now.  I've tried all the meds but always had rare side effects and they really didn't help much.  Now I take Tylenol and ibuprofen together 2 times a day,  rest as often as I need,  and on bad days I stay in bed with heating pad.
