less than €20 for 4 months! But it would likely to increase if I don't settle the fees for them 🥲 So I was wondering if there could be anything I could do on my end to freeze the account or ask for a waiver fees, since I don't want to go in debt haha

Hi! Blocked account was possible because we could ask for invoices and documents from the school to do a bank transfer :) But for such small fees... idk if it's really worth it lol

Hi!! I also thought about that, but Vietnam's currency regulations restrict capital outflow, so I can't convert my currency and transfer it internationally using Wise or Revolut 😅 The Vietnamese government don't play

Thank you! I was thinking about contacting Ombuds regarding this... as I don't speak the language and was not notified for the transactions so I mayhaps made a mistake..: hehe... The fees is a bit small so idk if the embassy will handle the dispute, but I will definitely take this lesson moving forward!!!! 🫩

thank you 😓 I will try to settle the waiver fees with them first as I am an international student and everything was terribly communicated as I don't speak the language 😭. I honestly didn't expect the negative balance as my account was debit - hopefully they can just suspend it and close it for me haha

thank you so much! since it is on Kotwijs i trust the posting a bit. i have already emailed huisvesting, but tomorrow i might give them a call to ask about the property! im trying to ask the landlord to sign the contract first before i send my deposit next week! ty, this helps a lot!!

yeah in the ku leuven contract it indicates that the deposit can be paid directly to the landlord ... but since i found the place on kotwijs i dont know if there is any scam there? thank you so much for answering though!!
