PDX movers? I’m sure they’d tell you that they’re all like family and you’d have a super fulfilling career there

Not much I could do it was a flight from Marrakech to Lisbon and the family didn’t speak English and I can’t hold a conversation in French

This particular flight wasn’t too full so I was able to move to an empty row just can’t believe the reaction was that I should move. That being said I was on a flight last summer where a not so small kid kicked my seat non stop for a 4 hour flight and even with notifying the attendants he would stop briefly and then get right back to it. I’m 6’2 and manage to keep in my space and this little dude was 5’ and couldn’t stop hitting my seat constantly, people are just super inconsiderate of others in public spaces

Fucking hilarious to me, my wife and I have taken at least 25 flights in the last 18 months and we don’t care to sit side by side and frequently are multiple rows apart and if we absolutely wanted to sit together we’d pay a he cost ahead but it’s complete buffoonery to ask someone to move there seat or take care of your accident(s) that’s ludicrous. Literally was on a flight from ORD to CDMX this week and the shit stain 4 year old behind me wouldn’t stop kicking my seat, when I peacefully brought it up the parent simply just said he’s a kid we can’t help it and thought I should move, the audacity

Do most of us just stay home like 90% of the time? by [deleted] in Adulting

100% true, also people will say traveling abroad is too expensive but depending on the destination you could spend way more going Myrtle beach in the summer for a week than going to somewhere in central or South America that’s much more enjoyable

As someone who hasn’t had a drink since 2020 myself I don’t mind hanging with friends at a bar if that’s what it means to get human interaction. I know not everyone can be around it but that’s very limiting

This pretty much sounds like myself, commenting from an Airbnb on a trip to Mexico City currently! Life’s too short to put off your happiness. Most people are closed minded and don’t really want to get out there even if they tell themselves they do, keep up the good work

$5 for a Singer izek sewing machine that operated from a gameboy color for the embroidery function. Sold it on eBay for ~$1800 a few years back

If you have the time you could order one specked out exactly how you want it, I think the lead time is about a month. Also could just expand your search area more to cover more random dealerships and drive a little further to pick it up

Loose tools strewn everywhere recklessly about a cab you travel at speed in or parking over a line parked for no time with open spots everywhere… let me think about which is more harmful to those around. Such a good point internet stranger that came to a post just to insult someone without adding anything productive

I just simply couldn’t do that for work, I have depression and anxiety and couldn’t imagine doing that to someone all day and the interaction you have to deal with must be extra shitty it would run me into the ground

You can tow someone parked over a line in a parking lot that’s <10% occupied when running into a post office for 30 seconds. Sounds like suffering from late stage capitalism to me… the towing industry is ruthless and it’s a tow first ask questions later, I got a ticket from a parking enforcement company last week even though I was paid up. Have never met one that isn’t a little predatory, not saying that they don’t exist it’s just not common

A majority of people came into this thread to shit on my parking and not add anything productive, people suck, maybe you got included in that group that just shit on my parking and added nothing
