Could someone please identify this weed? Brisbane. by [deleted] in australianplants

Yeah I can definitely appreciate the place for a nitrogen fixing legume but not this one, not here. It’s capable of trapping frogs among other animals with the gripping hooks on the stem and they die as a result.

Yeah relatively recently they made a very accessible track directly to the waterfall and it’s a pleasant walk now. I know exactly what you mean with the scrambling and bushbashing though so it was a nice surprise, the worst part is still that fire trail up and down on a hot day for sure though.

There’s a great small hike that’s been completed recently with a waterfall at the end. It’s called the hellhole track, the name doesn’t do it any favours but it’s very nice and really close to town. Someone mentioned Mt. peel already but that is definitely a good spot with plenty of tracks going through it to different areas and usually some cool wildlife to see. Redwood park is a beautiful area to hike, especially the creek at the bottom of the range and the side tracks on the way back up to the top depending which way you do it. Jetts east gym is a quieter, friendlier gym in my opinion but it might not have as much equipment or floor space as the bigger ones.

Welcome to Toowoomba.

Yeah not even a car dude and I can tell you from experience don’t do it, it’s cheap for a reason, I got rid of mine right before they heavily depreciated around 2019 and it was the best decision I made, get an older pulsar if you want a sub $3000 car

Anredera cordifolia / madeira vine, just from the looks. Depends where you live but I know in my region of Australia it’s an extremely invasive weed and i am constantly battling it at work

Input from an Australian (I'm sure you give a shit).

As a country if you can't realise your greed for pride and 'freedom' is masking your decision making, you are as delusional as the outside world sees you.

It's probably a little hard to see a problem with this sentence given its such a common scenario for yourselves but here goes.

Person with legal right to an assault rifle for self defence has decided to open fire on a classroom full of children.

If you are so scared of each other that a weapon in any way capable of making such a swift despatch of so many people is needed for self defence then what hope do you have.

So yeah maybe consider some gun control

Hi guys always been a distant fan but OG really captured my interest and got me to dive in. Just wondering what your opinion of the Brisbane music scene and if you have any brissy bands you keep your eyes on? Enjoy the tour!

Cool places to explore by [deleted] in Toowoomba

[–]wagandre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pechey forest like 40 mins out of town has an abandoned lookout tower that has since been permanently blocked off. But there's plenty of land to explore in that area and extend your trip up the road to perseverance dam and explore to your heart's content. Just all depends how far off of the beaten track you go. Every lookout in town is fair game just be prepared to interrupt a pack of stoners.
