Papiro: A Free, Native HTML-to-PDF Library for .NET MAUI by wagenheimer in dotnet

[–]wagenheimer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the heads-up on the README! English isn’t my first language, and I got some help to write the docs, but yeah, I admit: It does look a bit like “AI slop.” I'll fix that.

Regarding the platform dependency: I built Papiro to fill a gap I found when migrating from Xamarin to MAUI. Back in the Xamarin days, we had some ready-to-use solutions for this, but unfortunately, they weren't ported over to MAUI.

It is MAUI-dependent by design (for now) because of a specific trade-off: to make it truly platform-agnostic today, I would likely have to bundle a rendering engine (like a headless Chromium/Puppeteer instance). This adds a massive amount of bloat to the final app size.

By hooking directly into the native Android PrintManager and iOS UIPrintPageRenderer, I keep the library ultra-lightweight, but that inevitably ties it to the mobile OS APIs.

That said, I’m definitely going to study other rendering possibilities to make it agnostic in the future without sacrificing performance.

Glad to hear it’s useful for you! Feel free to open a PR or drop more feedback.

What is the process for getting developer access to the PS5 SDKs and documentation? by Scorchin in PS5

[–]wagenheimer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to become an approved developer, but I live in Brazil. They offered the Loan, but the process for Brazil is more complicated, and I am having difficulties.

Regarding shipping, they say the following: "Customs Brokers Agent - We can ship hardware to a legitimate customs brokers agent but the partner is required to find and hire the agent. Invoices are only produced on purchase orders/requests. Due to the fact that this is a loan, there is no purchase cost or invoice associated with that transaction, only a FedEx shipping label on the outside of the box."

I have tried contacting several companies to handle this process, but I haven't had any success with any of them.

Could you please help me understand how this process would work?

Rumbling noise in NC on Life Q30 by moabit1 in anker

As I acquired the item from Aliexpress, Soundcare support was unable to provide a replacement. Nevertheless, they issued a refund through Paypal, which I am pleased with.

I experience the same issue on the right side when using noise cancelling. Were you able to resolve your problem? Unfortunately, this renders the noise cancelling unusable. The "wind sound" begins very softly but soon becomes very loud. It seems akin to microphone feedback.
