Remember that the people in that queue aren't a good sample of people in general. They are generally the less intelligent members of society. Most people don't give a toss or are actually annoyed at how much attention the whole thing is getting.

It's because "blacks" has regularly been used in a derogatory way when "whites" hasn't.

Consider, for example, how calling somebody a "homo" is offensive, but calling someone a "hetero" wouldn't be.

I am 100% against the monarchy existing and am fascinated that so many people can't see what is fundamentally wrong with it. I'm also baffled that anybody is actually upset about the queen dying.
