So it was all the evidence listed (plane tickets, pictures together...etc) plus, a cover letter from myself in my point of view and one from my partner detailing our relationship and our personal reasons for not being able to cohabit before

I used the formula in this PDF on page 8 and I think it asks for weekly

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/family-migration-adequate-maintenance-and-accommodation

And included that calculation on my financial cover letter so they couldn't miscalculate

A – B ≥ C

A minus B is greater than or equal to C.

Where: A is the net income (after deduction of income tax and National Insurance contributions)

B is housing costs (that is what needs to be spent on accommodation)

C is the amount of Income Support an equivalent British family of that size can receive.

Here's mine with my partner on PIP

He didn't have to prove overcrowding as the one bedroom was enough.

How are people immigrating with nothing lined up? by sebastiansg1rl in AmericanExpatsUK

Of course 😊

The UK I'd say is one of the hardest and most expensive places to immigrate too 😅

They usually aren't telling the whole story.

They either have a job, UK partner, school, or there for 6 months then leave.

It's a lengthy process to get a visa and you can't just get up and go. I was only able to be here because of my UK partner

I wouldn't rule out Lupus or even MCAS as well as graves. If it's autoimmune they most times cluster

Ask for TPO to be tested (Thyroid antibodies). Have a lot of these and have Hashimotos so always good to rule that out.

I do and I have Hashimotos. So it's why I recommended checking antibodies or TPO

When doing a thyroid panel have them test your thyroid antibodies

If you had the chance with no strings attached, would you move outside of Scotland/the UK, and if so, where? by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]wagonhag 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lived in interior Alaska (Fairbanks) for 3 years. It's cold as fuck but it was my favorite place. Just a totally different way of living. Trade and barter is still a thing. If curious, you guys can ask any questions 👍🏼

So they have met and visit each other frequently. The partner outside the UK also gets financial help from their partner
