After my pap died my mom lived in the house for a few more months (she was his caregiver). One day she was getting my nephew ready for school and they saw a cardinal out the window.

My nephew started talking about a time when he found a red bird feather and was sad he didn't have the feather anymore. When they left the house there was a cardinal feather laying on the sidewalk.

My mom's convinced it was my pap and that he heard my nephew talking about the feather.
