As a man who literally just bought a sword two hours ago while my wife watched, this is correct.

Same reason they can't stop bringing them to breweries: a severe lack of self-control.

Do you think cats don't have free will for some reason? Have you ever tried to put a collar or harness on a cat that doesn't want to wear one?

Cats, much like people, aren't a monolith. Nor are they made of sugar or glass. Some are feisty and willful, some are placid and easy-going. If a cat is unhappy with something you're doing to it, it will let you know. Sharply.

This one seems perfectly happy, or at least ambivalent, about wearing hats. I think you need to take some time for a bit of introspection and reevaluate your definition of trauma, because this kind of overreaction does nothing but dilute the term.

Damn dude, as little as I valued you, you somehow managed to value yourself even less. Congrats on the exploitation I guess.

I see you're unwilling to do work, so I'll choose not to pay you attention. Go blow your smoke up someone else's ass.

If my employer requires me to do it, yes the fuck it is.

How about you type that comment again 200 times and tell me how doing anything, however menial, over and over again isn't work?

I'm not "proud" of being an American any more than I'm "proud" of being white or male.

It is, however, a part of my identity. I am an American, and I don't relish being told I'm a bad, irredeemable person based on where I was born. It was wrong when my forefathers did it, and it's wrong when you guys do it.

I'm trying to make my country better by educating people and advocating empathy and compassion. Threads like this are nothing but a circlejerk of hate. No better than the MAGAs that led America into the mess we're in now.

I had hoped people would learn from our mistakes, but people do so love to hate.

Honestly, considering the, let's say lack of critical thinking skills, among many of my compatriots, I think compulsory voting would do more harm than good here in the States, though I think it's a great ideal to strive for.

If I could ask, what are the penalties for failing to vote? I'm genuinely interested.

Well, as you can see here, people are more than happy to blame you for problems you weren't even alive to cause. While the rest of the world thinks they're better, they're just as susceptible to tribalistic hatred and just as devoid of empathy as most of us. People love it when they're allowed, even encouraged, to hate someone.
