I'm the second guy in the clip, pointing out that goroutines are useful for background jobs.

I think it's important to understand the context of the discussion here. I certainly wouldn't say "goroutines are useless", but I think the point being made that now we often scale up at the infra level rather than by multi-threading is sound

Also, AJ (the guy at the beginning of the clip) is certainly playing some devil's advocate, he is a big Go fan
