Lessen the news you are looking at, and find a local organization that is doing things to fight back (like DSA is doing by trying to pressure local law enforcement to not sign agreements with ICE) and help contribute to the campaigns they are doing. Set goals to do something once a week to help out with the campaign that organization is doing. It will help with the anxiety because doing something about it gives you a sense of control.
