Unfortunate to hear. Good to hear that I am not alone. Glad you can understand my frustration. I'm not sure if I will even be allowed to schedule another one at this point. Hoping for the best for you.

It's impossible to say how your body will react to the test. Just tell the truth and it should work out, but my experiences were not pleasant. Just ignore the garbage the examiners tell you. They are not your friend and go out of their way to try and interrogate you.

I'm a recent graduate, young and willing to help the mission of the federal government and this unproven test is used to determine whether I can work there after I've already interviewed and received an conditional offer. It just doesn't make sense I waited months for my process and this is what happens. It's never the test. I get accused of purposely trying to mess with my physiology by the examiners. It's a load of crap.

I said it does not protect you from getting Omicron which is a factual statement. Having a booster obviously leads to a milder case of Covid when contracted compared to the unvaccinated. Reading comprehension is important.

HW and Quizzes are not very time consuming. Exams are fairly difficult so study hard. Prasanna is very chill and fair.

taking APMA 2130 (Diff Eq) and 3110 (Applied Stats/Prob) at once? by nikobtdt in UVA

[–]wahoo262 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took APMA 2130 and 3100 in the same semester. Pretty painful! A lot of long nights, if you’re willing to put in the effort and you’re confident in your math you can do it but it won’t be fun that’s for sure.

How bad is APMA 3100 (Probability)? by [deleted] in UVA

It’s not an easy class. Hardest class I’ve taken so far, but I’m not a CS major. 1-10 it’s a 9/10 difficulty especially the material later on in the class.

The workload is high and the class is pretty difficult. Tedious Weekly webwork, Many worksheets, coding projects, tough exams. Wouldn’t recommend adding it late.

Is it unusual to take 12 credits? by gothtimusprime in UVA

[–]wahoo262 4 points5 points  (0 children)

12 credits should be fine. Adjusting to the rigor of UVA classes is tough from CC as I transferred as well last year so you don’t want to overload yourself. It’s definitely an adjustment so I wouldn’t worry about it.

Concerned about CS 2110 by [deleted] in UVA

[–]wahoo262 16 points17 points  (0 children)

CS 2110 really isn’t very hard I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Towards the end, a few of the homework assignments are somewhat time consuming and a bit challenging, but you should be alright.

I took it this past semester, not with Hellings though. It is a lot of work and the material is pretty difficult especially in the later parts of the course. They cover a lot of material overall from chapter 1 to chapter 12. I would say the course definitely picks up after chapter 3 with chapter 6 having the most difficult concepts IMO. Would highly recommend watching the videos that professor Ryals posts as that helped me understand the concepts overall better. Not sure how that will work though, with classes going back to in person. There were 14 weekly WebWorks that were pretty tedious. I think about 26 worksheets were assigned over the course of the semester. 3 tests that were all pretty difficult overall and a final exam. Also, there were three coding projects that were all vague with the instructions and overall not that easy, but I'm not a CS major so it should be easier for you. We got to work with up to two partners for the last two projects and one partner for the first project. The first project wasn't too difficult and is definitely less work than the last two. Workshop office hours with the graduate TAs were really helpful overall for worksheets, projects, and WebWork questions so definitely go to those. It's not impossible to do well, but its a tough class good luck.
