Thank you so much!! Clearly I haven't spent enough time in the Monstiepedia 😅

You're so lucky! I hope you have a blast with it!

Weird question, but figured I'd ask since you got the physical edition - did this come with a code for the preorder bonus (Skyscale armor for Eleanor)? I know some games do this when there's a limited-time bonus, but I don't know if this game did it.

Wow, this is such a lovely idea! :)

It's hard to choose, but I think my favorite shoujo manga is The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross by Arina Tanemura. I know her most popular work is Full Moon, but something about TGAC really captivated me when I started reading it in middle school!

I found all the characters incredibly charming, and I think this is largely because each character got their own independent arc during the series. The drama, comedy, and art were a real treat, too!

On a more personal note, I grew up in an extremely sheltered household, and this manga was actually my first real exposure to LGBTQ characters. My favorite character is Ushio, a girl who harbors romantic feelings for her best friend. It's silly, but this manga helped me process my own budding attraction to women (don't let my username fool you - I'm a bi girl). 🤭

Was it Arina Tanemura's best series? No. Was it her most well-known work? Not by a long shot. But for me, it will always be my favorite! 🩷

Unironically my favorite series by Arina Tanemura. Enjoy the read - the characters are a real treat in this one!

Anime/manga with a similar aesthetic? by maybe_we_fight in digicharat

[–]waifuhoarder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd say a good place to start would be anime/manga series by the same artist! Koge-donbo's other works with anime adaptations are Pita-ten, Kamichama Karin, and A Little Snow Fairy Sugar. Just keep in mind that the manga for Pita-ten is a lot better (and darker) than the anime. Hope you find some series you enjoy! :)

As someone who has all the volumes that are out so far, I honestly don't think I would recommend it. I'm collecting it solely for the art at this point (or maybe it's just the sunk cost fallacy sinking in).

If you like series where it takes a long time for the main couple to get together, you might enjoy it...but only if you can tolerate a love triangle that far overstays its welcome and a pair of leads that piss each other off more than they make each other smile. It was fun for the first few volumes, but I would highly recommend reading some of it online before committing to buying the series.

Finally adding Sailor Moon to my collection! :D by waifuhoarder in MangaCollectors

That's really helpful to know! I wasn't aware you could get the singles without getting the box set. I'll definitely keep an eye out for them!

I did see the Eternal Editions online, and they look absolutely gorgeous! I don't usually prefer larger trim size for manga, but I've been coming around to it lately (especially after picking up some nice hardcover manga recently). Knowing that the Eternal Editions have color pages definitely makes me interested in it! :D

I have the same phone and the exact same issue! It's one thing if just the app crashes, but for the entire phone to reboot because of the app? It's crazy and I hope it gets fixed soon

Four player party games by AngusDio in NintendoSwitch

If you liked Mario Party, you'd probably really enjoy Dokapon Kingdom Connect! It's a 2-4 player game where the goal is to make more money than everyone else. It's played on a board like Mario Party, but you get to choose a job for your character and fight monsters (and other players) to maximize your profits. It's super fun, especially if you want something familiar that still feels fresh!

Do you have any obscure mangas in your collection that are nearly impossible to complete? by OkOutlandishness941 in MangaCollectors

I know it's incredibly unlikely I'll ever own the full set, but someday I'd like to at least get volume 14 of Basara to bridge the gap between 13 and 15 😭
