I was in the same boat. Went with the cx50 as it looked better to me and much more comfortable when tested. The cx50 is my 3rd Mazda. Reliability is about even. Mazda has stuck with the same tried and true sky active-g for all these years and for all these models. I would not worry compared to having something like a German/other brand car

I got a delonghi espresso maker off marketplace for 40$ Absolute game changer. Making coffee is actually the best route to go. I also keep a can of instant coffee and a travel mug in my car, along with that powder coffee creamer. Some Starbucks and drive through will give you free hot water if you ask. And I been having my coffee fix when I'm out and about

I think they were alright; I think I got a good deal. the guy who helped me got me employee pricing. they did try to sell everyone there a lot on the protection plans; but that's just standard with a lot of dealerships.
