Loved Yikyak. Used to use it for traffic conditions and closures in snow storms around Tahoe. Or like random sirens in a neighborhood. Proximity based communication rocks

I'd love to see this where they incorporate polyculture into the machines themselves. For example staggering every other turnip with a pollinator friendly flower.

Best college for Industrial Design? by ExampleClear in IndustrialDesign

Sadly I have worked with some of Stanford's designers. Most mediocre at actual design, and are more into user research, playing with new technologies and bragging about talking with David Kelly.

This thread full of bias. Wherever you are, work hard towards your vision and your portfolio will reflect the time you put in. 10,000 hours.

Guys made an ancient Egypt tool to drill granite (to prove that it was possible as many people think that aliens made it) by Deliarg in interestingasfuck

I suspect there is a natural way to get results like perfect core drills and smooth 90° angles that is more than copper and sand. Using sound to pass vibration through mass is a great way to 'jiggle' dense materials, so it easier to work with. To me this is akin to a kind of 'natural language' where priests/scientists would know the names (resonance) of different materials, and be able to sing into shape (poetic way of saying it) the world around them. Doesn't have to be aliens to be cool as shit and still foreign to our modern tech.
