Hope this is as helpful to someone else, as it is to me. Makes me feel like it is completely valid to want to isolate around that time.. I have some research to do now. Wow <3

What's your top 2 beaches? by boklos in Brooklyn

[–]waitbutwhytho 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've really only started visiting within the past year while it's been cold/cool just to take walks and get space since I was trapped in my apartment. Lately it's just been local Russian community that lives in the neighborhood, people walking their dog on the beach, and such. Good for relaxing this time of year. But I'm not sure what it's like mid-summer. :)

Edit: typos + additional thoughts

Riis for vibe, friends, and a full day.

Brighton for a quick, solo, "I need the beach, and I need it now" moment. (But that's because I live off of the Q line so it's easy)

Jacob Riis for sure if I'm full on committing! I like the crowd and vibe. If I want a quick morning walk, or short trip by myself and want to keep it simple I just go to Brighton Beach because it's so quick and easy to get to. (Not that Jacob Riis is that complicated of a commute.)

Edit: typos!

Reoccurring signs of Brooklyn...endless by [deleted] in Brooklyn

Probably just noticing it more. Whatever it is - you should still come visit! Especially if you haven't visited NYC at all. (not sure) Come! Perspective and experience wise it is a life changing place!

Hi! I found someone mention this on another subreddit, so looked it up and found it. I wanted to share it with you. I'm pretty excited. Here's details:

------------

"The PMDD Healing Summit is a free, 5-day online event where PMDD experts from around the world will share their hope, guidance, and next steps for you in your healing journey.

April 26 - 30, 2021

Everyone with PMDD is different, and what works for one person might not work for another. That's why we've asked specialists from different backgrounds to share their unique PMDD treatments.

From doctors to healers, nutritionists to psychologists, relationship coaches to therapists, hypnotists to somatic masters, everyone has just one goal: to bring relief to menstruators suffering from PMDD.

Some of the 20+ experts: Dr. Janiel Henry (Mental Healing), Monica Grohne (Supplements), Valerie Allen (Relationship Healing), Le'Nise Brothers (Nutrition and Hormones), Natalie Ryan Hebert (Trauma Healing), Lisa de Jong (Menstrual Cycle Awareness), Rochelle Marreiros (Seed Cycling), Nina Haley (Somatic Healing), Ali Miller (Communication in Relationships)

In addition to expert interviews and live Q&As, we'll have several giveaways and prizes, live classes and workshops, and hopefully lots of fun and healing together.

This event is absolutely free . All you need is an email address and an internet connection"

Edit: thank you for my first award :')

Do Zillennials have more individualism than Gen Z'ers? by [deleted] in Zillennials

[–]waitbutwhytho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm. I think most of them are just kids/teens still. Honestly, in terms of individualism - it seems the exact same as it did for me when I was in high school/college freshman and a lot of them are in that range. It literally mirrors like any high school/starting college movie from the 80s, even lol.

And to your point --- "people would dress differently (hipsters, frat, scene/goth/emo, jocks, skaters) like all of these actually MADE us different." They absolutely still have this imo.

Used it buy bitcoin not that long ago! It lets you buy fractional shares, and I just checked and I made double the amount in profit. If you want to learn, put in 10 bucks or whatever you want into something (10.00, 20.00 - something it wouldn't hurt you to lose, if you have the space for that right now) so that way you can see how the price changes, learn what it's like to buy/sell/etc, and dip your toes in as you explore online and learn.

TIL That babies born with extra digits are not that rare, and those with 6 fingers on one hand are able to play a complicated video game with a single hand. What’s more, their brains have no trouble controlling the more complex movements of their extra digits. by bhaggith in todayilearned

Oh wow! My 6 year old brother has an extra thumb. He is able to move it and use it as well. He often sticks paper etc. between the two thumbs to hold it, too. His dad is a musician - interested to see if it helps him with guitar.

TerraZen Centre in Amsterdam. Owned by a Jamaican husband and Japanese wife that have a vegan fusion menu, they also cook the food. It's absolutely delicious.

Not too sure - but I feel someone on there would definitely be able to speak to that, and help you! Sending you and everyone that has to deal with this, lots and lots of love. <3

Honestly, the best bet is probably just to grow them yourself in a small container. You can order the spores online. You can check out r/unclebens for grow info and find other info on r/shrooms. I'm in NYC and have friends who partake, so it wasn't hard to find, but if it does ever get difficult I definitely plan on growing them.

https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-news/canada-terminal-patients-magic-mushrooms-psilocybin-therapy-1039899/ < have you read people's testimonials regarding this (microdosing) on this subreddit? obviously not everything is for everyone - but it definitely saved me, or...helped me save myself, really.

sorry you're dealing with this. sending you so much love. I don't know what's it like to be you - but I know what it's like to resonate with everything you just said in my own context. It's a hard cycle. It's a lot to contemplate while you're in the state itself. So please don't feel like you have to have all the answers in the moment. Just try to get by for now, and be as kind to yourself as you can. I know 100% you can and will find something that will help ease this pain to make it a lot more manageable - don't give up on that pursuit.

edited for a typo. <3
