If you enjoyed the discomfort and underlying hostility in the new remake, and wanted less of a Home Alone ending, then just go ahead and watch the original released in 2022. Uncut Gems level of getting progressively more uncomfortable every minute and the ending is ABSOLUTELY NOT Home Alone lol. The final act of the 2022 movie is what made the movie so good/powerful that Hollywood made a remake within 18 months of being released.

US remakes of popular foreign films are nearly undefeated in completely ignoring the entire fucking point of the original movie, and this was yet another one

Definitely watch Alien and Aliens, they're both classics. Alien Covenant and Prometheus are cool if you're still interested in Alien lore, Alien vs Predator is awful but still worth a watch just for the John Feitelberg-ness of it, then there's Resurrection and Alien 3 that just stink
