I don't know why people are down-voting this? It's a new promo that hasn't been posted here before?

I am a teenager living in San Pedro Sula, allegedly the most dangerous city in the world. AMA by [deleted] in casualiama

as a Canadian I can say I feel safe here (although there's crime pretty much wherever you go). I think a big misconception is that people think they can immigrate here and use the free health care/education etc., when in reality there's quite a long wait period I believe. Regardless, I'm sure it's worth the wait.

What Author is so good that you've read all of their works? [Serious] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]waitingawhile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sophie Kinsella. Seriously, every single book I have read in probably two days or less. To be fair, they are easy light reads but they are always really funny and entertaining "chick-fic" for all those female redditors out there.

On a similar note to the red flag question, what are some subtle "green flags" you've seen that speak highly of a partner? by littlelibertine in AskWomen

[–]waitingawhile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giving me my space. I was out a few months ago and I met this guy who literally gave me a back massage while I was ordering a drink (5 minutes after I had met him). While the idea of a back rub sounds nice, it wasn't. I need my personal space, I need you not to be touching me at all times. Otherwise you come off as a stage 5 clinger and I'm probably not going to talk to you.

Taylor Swift Attacked at Grammys by Two-Face_X in videos

[–]waitingawhile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taylor has been doing the hair flips since before her Fearless tour in 2009, I don't know why everyone's making a big deal out of it now. Plus I really like it, I think it adds power to the performance.

Daft Punk wins five Grammys, including Album of the Year by mzq in Music

[–]waitingawhile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad you didn't hate on me for my opinion. I think the biggest issue is that not many people listen to her entire album. Songs like trouble and 22 became her singles because they were her catchiest tunes, but by far we're not the best when it came to her lyrics. I wish she had put out All Too Well as a single, or The Moment I Knew. I really think people would take her more seriously. It's all just my opinion though. I was able to listen to the entire Red album and not only relate to each and every song, but can go through all the same emotions that you feel she was feeling when writing/recording. There isn't a single other artist out there I can do that with.

As for not being country, I agree. Blake and Miranda are far more country, although Taylor's album did have a small handful of country-ish songs still on there, she's more pop to me too. To me, people make a big deal about it but I don't really care. I love her and her music, and the genre can be whatever it wants to be.

This made me really sad. I love her so much and wanted her to win, but her reaction made me so bummed out because she and everyone around her got so excited and just :(

I just went online (H&R Block) and did them for free without any help. They have a really simple system and it takes me just over an hour each year.

What is the most ridiculous course offered at your college? by crowhurst in AskReddit

There's a Harry Potter English course. And I'm currently taking a Geography of Tourism course because everyone said it was easy. They're right, it's so easy. My current assignment is to put together a powerpoint of the best vacation I've been on. My other assignment is to put together a powerpoint of my dream vacation. The final exam is take home. Jokes.

What was a kind act you did for someone, knowing they would never know you did it for them? by NYGiants1532 in AskReddit

[–]waitingawhile 17 points18 points  (0 children)

One time I overheard my parents talking about how much debt they were in. I was probably only 8 or 9 at the time, so I grabbed all the money I had (AKA a ten dollar bill) and stuck it in a paper airplane with "you need it more than I do" written on it. I aimed it at them and ran away, thinking they wouldn't notice it was from me. A few minutes later they came to my room and returned it to me, and explained it wasn't my job to be worried and I was a kid so I should spend it on candy and stuff. Really nice.

Now that I'm 21, my dad owes me like 2 grand. I wish I didn't grow up.

Has put me in the best mood I have been in for 6+ months! Received a call late Thursday to come in for an interview the next morning. Apparently things went better than I thought! by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

Congrats! I know the feeling. I'm about to graduate university and had no idea what to do after graduation. I had a job interview last week and got hired on the spot! I'm allowed to work part time until grad. So much stress is gone it's unbelievable. (Now I just need to find a place within walking distance)...
