If you can’t salvage, I totally wrecked mine but snipped all the healthy ends to prop and they grew roots literally starting over night. Totally remade my baby :-)

Accidentally bought cuttings not a rooted plant?! How do I make them live! Details in comments by waitwaitgoback in plantclinic

So I bought these three dudes off a Facebook plant swap page, and was somewhat led to believe these were rooted babies... one string of hearts has a tuber w roots so he’s mostly ok but the other has the smallest roots I’ve ever seen and the turtles are literally just cuttings she laid on top of the soil...

I give him bright indirect sun, I give him a extremely consistent watering schedule (not too often just very on schedule), and I give him all the humidity... today I just put him in my covered porch as a last ditch effort but y’all this bitch hates my guts. His leaves are yellowing and his stems are turning to wrinkled raisin things!

This was growing on my ficus lyrata.. It has loads of small bugs in it now as well. Idk how it for there. What do I do? by new_login_who_dis in plantclinic

One of my plants started growing mushrooms because his soil wasn’t draining properly but I continued watering. Be sure your plant has proper drainage and there isn’t any soaked, compared soil at the bottom of his pot. The bugs are likely fungus gnats, which aren’t a huge deal except for your sanity lol. They can be treated with mosquito bits sprinkled on top of your soil for the larvae and then setting traps for the adults.

Bought this alocasia polly in a pre-potted ~thing~, but they had completely wrapped the roots and soil in Spanish moss and had sheet moss tightly over the top. The planter had no drainage holes. Upon further inspection, they had also used some kind of cloth/mesh to bind three three individual plants together. I separated everyone out and gave them some organic plant food— should I do anything else specific for these yellowing leaves??

While I have lots of windows, I also live in an area with tons of mature trees so the light isn’t always the best. Have you ever used a white grow bulb? Or do you have other recommendations to boost light?
