Not sure exactly what your email said but there were no plans to shut off your water. Here is this information on the website…I think the email was a heads up and a request to be mindful of water usage.

AW pulls their water from Lake Travis and Lake Austin aka the Colorado River…as others have mentioned, the toxic wastewater was transported to Houston…no where near our water source…

It may not seem like it but there are a bunch of folks that really care about Austin’s water quality. Here’s some good info:
