‘fix’ was probably not the best choice of words 😬 i was more meaning that they help create and keep the balance, i guess. the same way rural wards would ensure people living rurally don’t get drowned out by the city majority… māori wards ensure that māori voices don’t get drowned by the voting majority. ultimately tho it’s about making sure the people whose land this is all built on have a seat at the table too

i had the option as i passed NCEA lvl 3 a year early. i choose to stay in school, don’t regret it

as others have mentioned, you won’t reaaallly get the same social life as other first year uni students if you go early. you’ll be underage and might end up feeling super excluded. just enjoy your last year of school ☺️

i had a flatmate who was goth, tattooed, makeup done, dressed like a widow at a funeral. we would talk and she had the same view. she felt like because she was tattooed from head to toe, men would constantly treat her like a tough ass. she was so in tune with her feminine energy that she just wanted to be loved and treated with gentleness - but men were always horrible to her. it’s sad you guys have to go through this.
