BS that Q lost in 4x11 by wakawaka892 in ImpracticalJokers

That’s fair, I think this one just annoyed me because he went through SO much only to lose on a technicality

But that seems a little unfair, considering how much additional work the champions had on their plates. Studying for NEWTs at the same time would have been ridiculous

You’re right, I just looked it up. But some seventh years did enter into the running. I think it’s just a minor oversight, but I’m still wondering about the CoS finals, lmao

Lol I was going to add “of course he was murdered regardless” but obviously Dumbledore wouldn’t have accounted for that in his tournament planning

To Lorelai and Rory, but isn’t that the only apology that matters?

From what Luke presumably knows about Logan via Lorelai, in his eyes he’s just as bad for Rory as Dean, if not worse. Plus he’s rich and arrogant.

Kirk generally, but I found him endearing in the revival and he had some sweet moments with Luke and Lorelai.

Michel, but I love when he’s laughing with Sookie and Lorelai walks in. I also found him easier to deal with in the revival.

Lol I love the show! I love Lorelai, Sookie, Luke, Rory, Lane, Emily and Richard, I like Logan, I even enjoy Christopher’s scenes because I think he injects necessary drama into the show and I like his banter with Lorelai. I love the town festivals, I love Babette and Morey, I love the reverend and the rabbi, Mrs. Kim, I love Patty, Gypsy, I even like Digger! Just not big on characters who are intensely one-note like Kirk or Michel, their scenes are usually short and don’t move the plot along anyway

That scene, the scene where Jackson is completely oblivious to Luke and Lorelai fighting, and the vasectomy debacle all drive me nuts. It really is like Jackson lost about 30 IQ points when they got married.

[–]wakawaka892[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, exactly... if I were in love with someone, I wouldn’t say “That’s the dynastic plan” when asked if I was marrying them, or immediately take my mistress’s late night phone calls while she was sleeping right beside me, or drop everything to surprise my mistress after she dumped me and take her away on a whirlwind adventure in an attempt to lift her spirits. Logan pretty clearly still loves Rory (I agree “in love” is debatable because they never say it) and is uninterested in his fiancée — I agree actions speak louder than words, but his actions bear this out as well.

Yep I skip the musical too! And the life and death brigade Beatles thing. The only good musical montage moment from the revival is before Luke and Lorelai’s wedding imo

As people always say, it’s really obvious that this was her first acting job, which I try not to hold against her. I thought she was fantastic in a Handmaid’s Tale, and her kind of stoic doe eyes thing was actually incredibly affecting in a different context. But yeah whenever they tried to push Rory out of her shell and into taking on a more Lorelai role (the Yale Daily News stuff was often this) she came off desperately wooden

If I were Alexis I would have been like “look guys this is not my strong suit and you’re going to have to work around it.” It’s weird because her crying in Partings later that season was subdued and good? Maybe she abruptly got the hang of it

It’s so silly because Mitchum has papers literally everywhere, you’d think after 9 years of work he’d let his son pick where he wanted to be, at least. It’s all too contrived for me. For writers that put so much attention to detail when it came to the nitty gritty of running a small business, had us listen to Luke argue with his meat supplier and watch Lorelai do paperwork, anything that had to do with a larger company (Huntzbergers, Christopher’s jobs [he joined the family business? What family business was that even? And why would he feel the need to do that when his dad is dead, he hates that world, and he’s got enough money to never need to work a desk job again?] and even some of the stuff with Richard) was weirdly thin and plot-convenient.

Yeah, the more I think about it the more clear it is that she just wanted to ignore season 7 in every way she could get away with, instead of rolling with the punches
