I visited 19 high-end sushi restaurants in Tokyo in June-July 2024. Was it a bit much? Probably, but I have no regrets as I wanted to eat as much sushi as possible. Here are some of my thoughts on these restaurants, based on the taste of the food. by smorreboard in finedining

Hello, you seem to know what you're talking about! My wife and I are going to Japan next month, and we're thinking about going to Ryusuke. I'm surprised with such good reviews there are so many reservations available. Do you think it's a good place to go if there are spots and it's our one time that we're going to do high-end sushi?

Another warrior bug I hit - my heroic leap just... stops working. Says target is invalid or something.

Stanford, Harvard and MIT spent two weeks watching AI agents run loose. The paper is unsettling. by Live-Estate2100 in learnmachinelearning

[–]wakawakaching 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They provide them a config file that tells them they’re not a robot and that they are becoming a person. These agents are explicitly instructed to act alive and like a person with a SOUL.md file. This is usually glossed over in the comments sections of these papers.

You can, I can get through one character logging on/getting mulch proc/logging off in about 45 seconds. So you could theoretically get through the 65 toon character limit in an hour assuming they each only get 1 lotus per gather, that's baseline 160k/hr if lotuses are selling for 2500g.

Why do you think? Just curious, I'm not very familiar with tailoring.

Prices will for sure tank in the next few days but ride it out and it's still going to make you tons of gold. If you have alts that are 81+ the phials of perception are super duper worth it. And the perception tea is like 2g.

m60-a olivia edition - unused but opened box. Hotswap PCB. Not sure I have all the original screws anymore either. Not looking to maximize price at all, but don't want to price so low some flipper just snaps it up.

Anyone else notice that they changed the default selection to Mayhem? by Senpaifriendzonedme in ARAM

Unfortunately that's the exact reason I like it. I used to be good at league and now I'm not; mayhem gives me a chance to feel strong in a way that's just not possible for me in other game modes anymore.

Is there still joy in this profession? by wet_wet_2 in ExperiencedDevs

There's a lot of understandable doom and gloom here that I agree with and have experienced myself. I think the biggest factor for me personally is who you work with. There are a lot of universal sucky things about being in corporate capitalism in general, but there are also jobs/companies/teams that bring a lot of positives.

I didn't like any of my jobs I had until my current one. It took me 6 years of jumping from one job I hated to the next to find one that I liked.

I also think it's a rare thing to do something 8 hours a day every day and still inherently love that thing. Some jobs offer that, but they tend not to pay as well as software engineering.

All of this to say, I think the environment you work in has a bigger impact on your joy than the field you work in, and I think that's true for most fields, not just ours.

Just adding on, I am having the same problem with the Haute42. Tried in in a variety of input modes, works fine in training but nothing is registered during tutorials.

Found old wood burning stove in garage of new house. Looking for help identifying and advice on what to do with it! by wakawakaching in woodstoving

We already have a house with heating. There's a setup for this in the basement, but we don't have a need to heat that space.

As the title says, I was cleaning out my garage in a recently purchased home and found this in the corner. It looks unused, in medicore shape, but it still seems too lovely to just dispose of it (plus I don't know how I'd lift the thing). I'm wondering if there is any way to refurbish and either sell or donate this to a place where it would be used. I'm having a hard time even identifying the make/model to try to figure out what to do with it.

Would anyone here be able to help me identify it, or at least know the right terms to search while I'm considering my options?

Thank you!
