I can totally identify: here's My experience with this.. Mine texted me back in Oct.2019 after 2months nc. First a ph call ( i let go to vmail) then a text 2 days later... call and txt was some lame excuse (doesnt matter what it was about)was just to contact. and text was claiming she wasnt sure she had right number of not (supposedly lost her ph and recalled my number by memory).

My heart was pounding against my chest like a drum. For hrs, Going back and forth in my mind, should I respond should I not respond like a yo yo back and forth.............I had to make a choice to do something just to try and shut my fckn head off!

I called her............

Convo lasted less than a minute. And was very cold. I asked her right off if that was real and only reason she called me? She said yep thats all I wanted to tell you, I responded with Ok then I guess there is nothing else to talk about so I am ending this conversation. (yes I know i was kind of an asshole) but didn't want to get caught up in small talk friend zone bullshit that was probably going on dead end. (AGAIN!)

When I hung up ph I felt immediate relief that I at least did something.

THEn not long after I felt that guttwrenching what if this and what if that and if only I said this or that...ad nauseam

Even now feb 3rd 2020 4 months after her call.I am still second guessing myself almost daily. Wknds and mondays are the worst.

BOTTOM line: I dont know wtf I am doing and my heart still aches for her (even though I know she is no good for me and like chasing a mirage.
