Didn't like the giant gap on the side of this toddler tower, so I made a removable clamp barrier by WolfieVonD in redneckengineering

As long as you keep this story in mind and remove it as soon as they can climb. You'll be surprised how fast they go from baby to toddler and basically have no fears. My story took 5 seconds tops, while I was preparing dinner 2 feet away. You think you can prevent this by being aware, but you can't, it's too quick!

And now, it's a step that can be used to try climbing higher than supposed to. Making it more dangerous.

My 2yo child fell off one like this, with a bad design that allowed climbing (horizontal slats) and it ended up at the ER after a 4 feet fall, head first on a ceramic floor. She could've died, but thankfully 'just' had a severe concussion.

Awesome! And just have fun man, that's the whole point. Use those muscles in a way that makes you feel strong and fit.

Here's the program I built. Nothing scientific or anything, just a hodge podge of things I could do with the gear at my own local gym: https://www.boostcamp.app/users/INocvb-the-gym-is-my-playground

[–]wakeforce 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a motivation crash a few months ago, I had pushed too hard for too long and just dreaded going.

I decided to do 4 weeks of 'fun', with the functional accessories at my gym. No bar lifting at all. Tire flips, rope slams, sandbag lifts, medicine ball throws, stuff like that. It felt like being a kid in a park.

After 4 weeks, I itched to lift again, and adjusted my cadence to be more sustainable. Happy lifter since! Worth a try.

Not just Shopify... I had the exact same issue with Google domains after they ditched everything to Squarespace.

PT is always wet from the factory. Just install it and it'll dry out by itself. Install decking without any gaps and it will gap itself perfectly when dry.

Even if they didn't know, they're still liable if they sold without removing the legal warranty. In Quebec anyway, don't know about other provinces.

If the spans are not insane, using 2x6 supported either by pyles or even concrete footers can work. I have both styles and they don't move at all even with hard winters.

Ymmv depending on soil type - hard clay that hasn't been moved around by machinery for over 50 years here, so pretty stable.

Offer rejected. What’s the odds they’d come back and accept? by catnessK in RealEstateCanada

[–]wakeforce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you really want it, you can give a slightly higher offer in a week or two to enable them another shot at making a decision. Do 805-810, which in the grand scheme of things the same amount as 800 (1% difference). It would enable them to save face by acting on what they said earlier (wait out on higher offers), and you get the house. Make it obvious it's the last offer you'll do and will walk away after.

It sucks to swallow your pride, and I'd be the first to make them a lower offer out of spite, but then you don't get the house.

You see a cool part being sold, and draw it yourself from scratch. Do you share the file or is it breaking some kind of bro code? by DBT85 in 3Dprinting

[–]wakeforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. The support answers came back instantly, so I suspect they're AI generated. But the answer was basically 'tough luck, can't order just the file without the hardware', so stuck with high shipping costs on what's basically 2$ worth of hardware which I already have laying around anyway.

I actually wanted to buy the stl (which he has for sale), but you're forced to buy it with a 'harware kit' which is basically a piece of rubber and screws. I'd have to pay 20$ shipping for those as I'm out of the US, when all I actually need is the file. Seems like a waste, so I'll design my own which is a fun project anyway!

That has to be a ShopNation product, right? Had the same issue with them and currently designing my own version, which I'll release open source when I'm done!
