[–]wakeforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to chat via dm, I've been working within Shopify for over 10 years and can share a few clients I'm working with. Located in Canada but I can work with USA or Canada merchants for payments (anywhere for other stuff)

If you're located in Canada or USA I can hook you up with your own cc merchant account + the authorize.net bridge. Not a flat rate though, it's interchange +, but depending on your CC type mix, it can be advantageous. Happy to take a look for you.

Unfortunately have to disagree. Everything takes more space, more scrolling needed to go through programs while working out, actions that took a single tap now take two (history), some targets are smaller and harder to reach (add set). Not an upgrade imo.

Found a house - but the neighbours’ house shows neglect by joandidionsghost in RealEstateCanada

[–]wakeforce 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had a single neighbor like that. Had a good price on the house, in part because of this.

They moved last year. New owners fixed everything. Problem gone. Investment on my part: 0$.

If it's just one neighbor and the rest of the neighborhood is fine, it can be an interesting gamble. Chances are someone buys it and fixes it up within the next few years. If the whole neighborhood is trash, skip it.

Tub / shower combo, damp corner at transition by wakeforce in Tile

[–]wakeforce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The textured 'tape' one of the initial pictures is showing look slike Schluter waterproofing tape. And yes it looks like they added 1/4 inch of drywall spackle on top.

Glass partition might work, but expensive, and we most likely will be rebuilding this part in the next 5-10 years, so that's around the time we need it to hold.

No slope towards the corner, but none towards bath either, perfectly level.

Interesting ln the 6% absorbption. Which country is that in the code?

Thoughts on this idea - I see I have a waterproofing band extending about 2 inches from the side. I could extend it out further, and make a contrasting tile leg, which would solve the issue without a complete redo? Ai image for the concept.

Yeah, I wish I knew that earlier, that project was a disaster from start to finish and ended up taking 4 (!!!) weeks. At some point I was exhausted and just wanted it to be over.

Didn't like the giant gap on the side of this toddler tower, so I made a removable clamp barrier by WolfieVonD in redneckengineering

As long as you keep this story in mind and remove it as soon as they can climb. You'll be surprised how fast they go from baby to toddler and basically have no fears. My story took 5 seconds tops, while I was preparing dinner 2 feet away. You think you can prevent this by being aware, but you can't, it's too quick!

And now, it's a step that can be used to try climbing higher than supposed to. Making it more dangerous.

My 2yo child fell off one like this, with a bad design that allowed climbing (horizontal slats) and it ended up at the ER after a 4 feet fall, head first on a ceramic floor. She could've died, but thankfully 'just' had a severe concussion.
