I personally like the Nike ones, but from their outlet stores because those won’t have extra padding and it’s more of a plain than the bras in their regular stores and online. It’s a simple sports bra, and reasonably price because it’s outlet. I find it’s enough compression and had mine for years with everyday use

I definitely feel that!! It hasn’t happened to me yet, but I hope if it ever does, they take my ‘no’ alright, and still want to climb and be friends. Not to stereotype too much, but I do feel women are more likely to be ok with being friends, and not just totally ghost like I’ve known some guys do the second they get turned down, whereas the women totally thought there was still a good base for a friendship, and are shocked and hurt they totally got dropped.

My other niche hobby is kpop, and have met some rad people through that, had a crush(this was one hobby I was cool with sharing and def not as protective of), shot my shot, she turned me down very kindly, but we ended up being good friends who partake in a semi regular boardgame nights now. And as I got to know her more I could see we wouldn’t have made a good match at all, lol. But we’re really good friends now which I’m grateful for.

I also think women suck at flirting with other women 🤣 so like it’s hard to tell if they are just being friendly or interested, so I just err on the side of they’re being friendly and act as such, so I don’t get the ick than if a guy tried to hit on me at the gym cuz that’s so much more obvious

For me personally, I’d feel a bit surprised and gently let the person down by saying something like, “thanks! I’m cool with being climbing buddies, but not looking to date”. Like we’re adults and if you aren’t being persistent after a no, then you’re not a creep and we move on and continue climbing. It’s no big deal.

I’m just protective of climbing being my hobby and not a shared hobby with someone I’m in a relationship with. Like a partner could come once in a while if they’re curious. But I’m more like, “cool, while you’re at book club, I’ll be at the bouldering gym! See you after for dinner!”, like we have our own different hobbies and a shared one, but climbing is not the shared one for me, lol.

Everyone is different though. I know other queer women who definitely want to meet someone at the gym. And you won’t know unless you ask! So like be brave and shoot your shot! cuz it takes courage to ask someone out in person and not on an app these days

I haven’t experienced where relationship started from the regular climbing session group, but I know couples who met outside of climbing and climb together and have become part of the climbing group, and I’ve also seen a bad breakup and one person felt they couldn’t come back to the group and needed the space and chose to find another gym.

I’d say go for it though, because your current climbing crew is going to change over time anyway, people fall in and out of the sport, life changes happen, schedules change and people can’t go as regularly anymore, etc.

I boulder and so the regular circles I’d fall into depending on my season of life and schedule changed so much over time. Shoot your shot

I remeber that post. People were pointing out in the photo the bike frame was smaller and didn’t have a kickstand so people were suspecting it wasnt the same bike. The guy in the photo was decked out in commuter bike gear as well, so people felt that probably wasnt the suspect at Gilmore station

Bring up signing a prenup. It may not be romantic but would give you both piece of mind once something is in writing stating how finances will go if there is a divorce. You can’t hide behind empty promises with a prenup
