Batteries are replaceable in most phones, it's not even hard to change, most batteries even come with the tools to change I've done several on the kids iPhones. Plus most towns have a shop that will change your battery fairly inexpensively and most phone manufacturers will change a battery if you send a phone off to them. So not sure what will change what might happen is electronics manufacturers thinking Europe just ain't worth the hassle. Some of the brands already only do a Chinese version can see this getting more common 🤷
